Essentially, Floyd's main reason for moving up was the DLH fight. He got that, than took another huge money fight.
At that point in his career I understand why he was all about the huge money fights. Do I wish he fought Cotto after Hatton? Yea, of course I think everyone does. But I wouldn't consider that a "duck". I don't think Floyd is scared of anyone, I think he truly believes he would beat anyone. I think he honestly wanted to retire, or at least take a lot of time off, and that's his prerogative.
People get ducked, but I wouldn't consider what Floyd did with Cotto or Margarito "ducking".

If Floyd fought Cotto, he'd get accused of ducking Margarito, if Floyd fought Margarito he'd get accused of ducking Mosley, if Floyd fought Mosley he'd get accused of ducking Williams.
The list goes on and on. The people who dislike Floyd for whatever reason will always slate him for the same old reasons.
