    sounds reasonable I agree.....

I mean people were already poopooing DLHs fight with Pacquiao at 147. So why all of a sudden is this fight not as big of a mismatch?

Mayweather beat DLH (Mayweather > DLH) Pacquiao has beaten JMM (MP > JMM)

So if its a missmatch when the lesser of the bigger guys fights the greater of the smaller guys, why would it not be a missmatch (on paper) when the lesser of the small guys takes on the greater of the bigger guys?

I know its not that simple, but yeah.

fighting at higher weights will slow you down..

Floyd at 135 was a killer compared to 147

Roy was a killer at 168 compared to LHW...

Were talking ANOTHER 10 pounds on JMM, only 2 fights after moving up 5 lbs...

Well let me ask you this...

Given that Floyd has never weighed then 150 pounds...even on fight night.

Do you think he could move up to WW and beat Sturm?

I think Floyd would be favored.

Read, with this poll you've listened to the talk of **** ****ers and then made a poll about it.

It's like me making a poll "was Ali a bum or not? Only I've read NSB say he was."

It's not worth it, shagger. :*******:

Truth Reed. Mr boat buyer gets nothin for knockin out JMM at above 140. At 140, the win is credible.

Im assuming you mean move up to MW....

and yes I would favor Floyd... i WOULD FAVOR FLOYD OVER pAVLIK..

Were talking about a serious move up in weight, on a conventional fighter... against one of the best fighters of our era...

It is definitely a tune up... a SOLID tune up...

this is true... pre-fight speculation is essentially meaningless after the fact, once you have the actual fight to analyse

but while we are speculating i'll say i disagree

if Floyd were to go down to 140lbs and beat JMM, it'd be a mega fight and really good name for the resume - however this seems unlikely

if Floyd is to come down to fight JMM at a catchweight of 143-145lbs, it's still a mega fight and a good win for Floyd - a possible situation

if Floyd tells JMM to fight him at welterweight it is STILL a mega fight and a pretty good win, especially considering it's his first fight back and JMM's status as a hall of famer and #2 pound-for-pounder/arguably #1 - the most likely situation

i agree the win loses gloss the higher in weight it occurs at, but it's still JMM in there, and it'd be flat out insulting to brand the man a tune-up were he to fight at 160lbs, nevermind 147lbs

                      Yeah my bad...I meant MW.

I still think at 147 its a massacre.

At 143/144 even Marquez said thats fine.
