kirkland was probably pissed because he had unpaid fees for the WBA Interim Prospect Light Middleweight Belt, and thought that was ridiculous, so he was gonna pay the WBA a visit.

I can understand why he carried a weapon. When you come from the streets and you start to make paper, people get the wrong ideas in their heads and want a piece. its just the way it is.

He just had a lot of options at this point and carrying a gun was the least beneficial.
