Who the **** are you to judge? Sometimes it's not about being ******. Sometimes making it out of the ****** is just as hard as living in it. When you make it out you still have enemies and haters that hate to see that you made it.I think it was dumb to have a gun on him but how the **** can you judge the guy? - you were at the gun range a couple days ago and you forgot you had the gun.

He has no business putting himself in situations where he needs to carry a gun. I don't know if they did or not but his managers should have moved him far away from the "hood" and surrounded him with positive people. Too many times athletes who are from rough neighborhoods let these thugs they grew up with leach off of them and keep them in that ****** mentality. You are a professional, you need to act like one. And if it's that serious, Why not hire a bodyguard who can carry a gun legally to be with him?

why would his career be over off of a weapons charge? It's a minor offense, hopefully he'll get a slap on the wrist. It's not like he killed or **** someone here, he simply had a gun that was not under his name.

Besides, he's not allowed to protect himself because he's a felon. I know I have the same law against me as I too am a convicted felon. That was a long time ago (10 years) but for the rest of my life I am not legally allowed to own a gun to protect myself. I have sympathy for Kirkland because I can relate in a way.

Even though it was a mistake on his part, where he's from, the life he lived and the mentality he has, it's better to get caught with a strap than without it, if you know what I mean.
