Given that Pwill is 6'1" and has an 83" reach that would give him a 6" hieght and 18" reach advantage over Hatton I doubt this fight would ever be considered a reasonable matchup. Seriously how do you beat someone who's arms are a foot and a half longer than yours in a fistfight?
SSM is at the point in his career where he can be shot at any moment and therefore it depends on the SMM that turns up, and Hatton gets Zero credit for winning (See Tzsyu & Castillio)
Cotto is better that Hatton and beats him.
Berto has the same chance of beating Hatton as Hatton does of beating Pac, he'd be a live underdog.
I would rank hatton top 10 WW easy, borderline top 5 depending on margacheato's exit from the sport.
Hatton beats JMM, Darchinyan.
P4P Hatton has been top 10 for 4 of teh last 5 years and he's been there for a reason, he's ring champ (And presently there are only six of them) and he's beaten two guy's who where ranked top 10 P4P.
he's also the biggest draw in the sport with the most fanatical fans in teh business.Comment

Wow! A ROFL smiley to prove a point! Genius.
As I've said before, I don't like Darchinyan, but at this point of his career, after impressive wins against a top P4P fighter Mijares, a cagey veteran in Arce, winning titles in 2 different weight classes and unifying one of them, I consider him a tiny notch above Hatton. And that is why I said "even Darchinyan" in my post. My question was, does Hatton belong with the current top P4P fighters such as Pacquiao, Marquez or EVEN Darchinyan, or is he just a hype job created indirectly when PBF chose to fight him?
Damn, just answer the question or go somewhere else?

8th P4P changes this slightly. If he was 5th, you could argue that he deserved to fight PBF. But 8th and Cotto was ranked 7th in the same division as PBF, but PBF chose Hatton instead.
Doesn't this look like careful management with a little bit of hype job to make Ricky look like a worthy opponent? He could have picked Cotto instead.Comment
