He was a OK champion in the grand scheme of things. He'll never be a great fighter and people will never look back and use Freitas as inspiration but he was a solid world class fighter who would give some people hard fights but always to one dimensional to hang with the real greats.

Popo had as much heart as anyone until he got rich.

If you saw Popo's first 30 something fights you wouldn't question his heart.

I think when he finally hit the big time, he didn't care too much anymore.
