I think you all want him to fight Marquez at welterweight and you all say it would be a fair fight. Is Juan Manuel Marquez a welterweight?

Mayweather can fight Pacquiao and Hatton at welterweight, those would be fair right?

What about Paul Williams,Antonio Margarito, Joshua Clottey were those guys welterweights? They fought at 147 pounds. Why couldnt Mayweather fight those guys since they were welterweight? Would those fights have be unfair?

What about Miguel Cotto? Shane Mosley?

This thing about not dropping to 140 pisses me off. If he wants to fight super featherweights and light welterweights at 147 he should be able to fight the real welterweights at 147.

I would like to see which fighters could weigh-in at the actual division weight. So, if you are a Welter-Weight, by fight-time, can you come in at 147?


But in the boxing world, a Welter-weight is anybody that steps on the scales at 147 pounds even if he has to drain his body of fluids and can put on +10-20 pounds by fight-time with the use of an I.V.
