There ought to be a balance, the rule is no excessive holding.Boxing is a contact sport and people will hold no doubt.Actually clinching is a skill. There are some fights of course Hatton has overdone it.Hatton has also done a lot of rabbit punches in the past and got away with it.He often describes it as 'I gave him a little bit of that' as if it is not an offence.

If Hatton uses his clinch well he will knock out Pacquio no doubt and that's no cheating.By the later rounds Manny wont be able to take it and his own shots will be getting weaker than the rounds.I think the ref needs to be fair to Hatton.Billy Graham was right in voicing his concerns to Cortez before the Mayweather fight.

In a way this is all mind games.People are trying to influence the ref so he takes away Hatton's game plan.

he has over-done it in the past i agree.mayweather snr will not want to see hatton clinching imo,but i think if he encorporates it into his gameplan well then it could benefit him, especially in setting up body shots.bayless is the ref and i think thats a good choice,i have never liked cortez

Kotsa was excessive, but ricky kinda layed low with the hugging lately, if he feels PACs power no doubt in my mind the old hitman will come back...........

you're living in fantasy land, if Cortez had gotten the fcuk out of the way Mayweather was sparked inside 4 but any time Ricky got him cornered and taking a whupping fat boy would jump in

Gettin someone is punching someone not holding someone.Remember this was a boxing match not wrestling.Everytime Ricky held Floyd Joe would get in.

If you wanna know what getting someone is,it was that time when Mayweather knocked Hatton out senseless,Joe had to come in being the professional that he is.Even Hatton's corner threw in the towel.Ricky never got Floyd in that situation

To be fair Hatton was there for the taking. He was lunching in with his head, was off balance all the time. The more I watch the fight the more I doubt Mayweather because he shouldnt have worked overtime that night.
