I don't care what he did for the first eight rounds (what, win six of them?) he LOST. I can't even believe people cut him slack on this board and act like he did something impressive. If you're boxing so impressively, why stop? Maybe because the other guy's strategy was working as well? And if Oscar's tired a** stopped, he would've got KTFO. So what does he do? Does he go all out? Does he continue to "box?" No, he ran. And lost.

The winner was Felix Trinidad. The loser was the sport of boxing, who expected a big night and got the most disgraceful display in the ring since Tyson-Holyfield II.

Very good point....well said...why did Oscar stop boxing so beautifully? Was Tito constant pressure getting in his head? Did Tito's pressure cause Oscar to change tactics and run? I think Tito should get credit for always being aggressive and ready to fight-however, Tito never acknowledged how one sided the first half of the fight was and that it could have gone either way. He just was elated as if he won all twelve rounds....

      TITO

De La Hoya led on all judges' cards after eight rounds, but only narrowly. Then Oscar began to give ground, Trinidad closed the distance, and his pursuit evolved into a stalking. As Oscar faded, his circling turned into running and he put his back against the ropes more, where Trinidad pounded. After 10 it was even -- and Trinidad surged to take the championship rounds, like a true champion.

and Oscar duck Tito for the rematch

            TITO WON DEAL WITH IT!

I seriously don't see how oscar deserved or Won this fight.

de la hoya won 6 rounds. don't give me that bull**** that he swept the rounds.

the man that came to fight won.

i had it a draw though.

                  Oscar won.

Even the rounds Oscar took off, Tito didn't do anything. I'll take owning for 6 rounds and than taking off over getting beat for 6 rounds and than doing nothing.

DLH clearly won but I would have gave it to Tito. That running, dude made Cory Spinks look like a brawler

I actually thought it was a great performance by Oscar leading up to th 10th round.

But add the rounds up, which fighter would you give more rounds too?

I think Oscar was scared later on of that Trinidad left hook. When Trinidad started throwing the right to open up the left, i think Oscar thought '**** this, i'm staying away from that'!

Its true, i think Oscar won the fight, but he blew it and should have won more easily.
