How does being negative equate to being an aggressor?

Hopkins is never aggressive yet Taylor was so negative he made Hopkins force the fight.

He lost. He cant fight on the front foot.

It makes sense in his mind, we just dont talk like that. Anyway by negative he means backing up or not coming forward, which would be positive.

Hopkins doesnt win on the front foot above C class.
Most of his career. It's only with age he slowed down. What do you expect a 40+ guy to do?

Either way, Hopkins was robbed twice.

Hopkins is SO negative he cannot win on the front foot. Hopkins is so defencive he gets all his opponents to chase him. In Taylor he met somebody more negative than himself and was forced to push the pace. Hopkins cannot do that, ergo he lost.

Yeah, Hopkins was so "negative" that he landed more punches than Taylor but taylor threw more punches than hopkins. so who's more negative?

Stop using the word negative man, nobody knows wtf you're talking about.

Because Hopkins was past his prime. Yes, past his prime. He actually had a career before he met Tito believe it or not and his physical/athletic ability and aggressiveness was much better back then because he was younger and he also didn't have to worry about running out of gas. As he got older, he became stiffer and paced himself more to the point he was quite boring to watch. Hopkins had better power back then as well. Even Allen, who fought Hopkins a few times, said Hopkins wasn't as good as he used to be and his power was on the decline.
