i really don't think manny worries about proving himself against floyd.

put it this way. if floyd comes back , at minimum , floyd would want 50-50 right? even if floyd is the bigger money fight......would manny make more money fighting for 50% against floyd or 70% in big money fights elsewhere?

and even if it's not all about the money , which is bull because as a pro it is ALL about the money , could we say anything really bad about manny fighting say cotto or marquez or shane?

would manny even look bad if he were to not fight floyd and fight cotto , mosley or marquez instead?

floyd might be the former #1 p4p fighter and the greater fighter of those 3 , but a third against his arch rival marquez or a belt in a 6th weight division against mosley or cotto ain't exactly gonna hurt manny's legacy.

Oh I agree... I think beating those 3 would only continue to build Mannys legacy... they would be great fights and he would make a lot of $$$ doing so..

But I still stand by, people want to be the first to beat Floyd... I think people still believe Floyd is the fighter to beat... And I think Manny would actually want to fight him, money definitely has something to do with it, but the idea of being the first to beat Floyd, is definitely enticing...

But I would still be greatly satisfied if Manny decided to fight Cotto, Mosley, Marquez... Great fights... all 3 of them...

now bob arum and oscar de la hoya have floyd by the balls... they co-promote manny pacquaio... to be honest, the fight would be interesting but floyd would make it boring with his style of fighting... there are much better stylistic matchups =... cotto-pacquiao would be a war, but i see cotto knocking pacquiao out... mosley-pacquiao would be an easy win for pacuqiao. and there are the upcoming fighters like gamboa, ortiz, amir khan etc. so manny really doesn't need floyd.

I always hated this **** about Floyd and Arum pointed it out, after certain wins he started fighting the lesser guys and then CALLING HIMSELF the best, he slowly started having most of the world agree after countless times ranting off about that and instead of continuing his place as the self proclaimed best he takes on lesser caliber opponents, he takes on the Judah's, Mitchell's and Baldomir's as opposed to the Cotto's, Margarito's and Mosley's and uses ****ty ass excuses to back his **** up. you don't fight Cotto or Margarito because you don't want to do business with Arum again? bull ****in **** Floyd, that is 100% BULL**** and it pisses me off he thinks the fans of the sport are gullible enoughto believe that horse ****, it boils down to fighting man and this is a profession where the best fight the best regardless of that crap..

many people don't know this but he was willing to fight Cotto at 140 when Cotto was BARELY a draw compared to what he can generate now and he was literally struggling to make weight, had that dried up bone looking face in some fights there and overall was visibly not on that kind of level to be facing someone like that. you see the game here? it didn't matter that Cotto was with Top Rank when he was clearly not a threat to Floyd, where he could barely even make regulation to fight let alone perform correctly, it didn't matter that Cotto was with Bob Arum then right? then when Cotto moves up to Welterweight, blows out Quintana and Judah and shows he's 100% a better fighter Floyd suddenly doesn't want to do business with Arum. what was the other excuse again? oh yeah it was that Cotto doesn't generate enough revenue huh, well Floyd back when you willing to face him he was not even a fraction of the name he was when you were supposed to fight him so if he don't make enough sales for you now he made even less for you prior when you wanted a piece of him..

Manny would be game but Roach has already stated that Floyd is stylistically bad for Manny and has also said that if your going to beat Floyd, you'll look bad doing it ( Kind of like Hopkins, Whitaker )
