I was at the fight and enjoyed it. Although it is true a lot of American heavyweights are overweight and out of shape, in Arreola's case the extra weight didn't seem to affect his performance at all. I think he may be one of those people who just naturally carries more weight.

McCline was badly out of shape though, he was tired and breathing heavily after the first round.
It has nothing to do with being gay ******. Is that the best you can do?

Not against McCline, no. But it certainly would have effected his stamina and performance against a top heavyweight.

Love or Hate Bob Arum, He Is Right

Whether you like Bob Arum or not, he was spot on with this comment. I agree with him 100%. These blubbery guys need to learn from the old school heavy weights. That's why these guys are now 6 round fighters. Anything more than that and the fight turns into a sloppy hug fest.

I have to agree with Arum on this one. After that performance, I don't think anyone would give Arreola a chance against either Klitschko. He should fight Vitali, get knocked out, and maybe that would entice him to train properly for a fight.

When was the last time his stamina was tested?

What did he weigh in that fight?

              Exactly.

In a way... Arum is right. HBO is pushing Barreola on us in a way that is shameful. They (HBO) have him under contract and the lack of talent of the division makes him a "hot" prospect. But the thing is ... there are plenty of other divisions with lots of talents!

This win for Barreola mean nothing in my book. McCline didn't even try to to win. They are setting the Barrel man for a big payday which means that he will not take on any other contender that might jeoperdize the title shot. So expect a couple of other dates in HBO with past their prime opponents.

By the way Arum.... shameful is to also defend the loading of gloves with Plaster of Paris. Not name needs to be mention here.... Also, Arum in more than one ocassion has fed us bullcrap undercards and championship fights....

                    Peace!

Don't forget he also brought us Gomez/Cotto

I don't pay too much attention to the Heavy Weight division but I did watch the fight in question and I enjoyed it very much. Why is Arum talking so much trash about a division that needs a little love. What made me sick to my stomach was Arum's excuse about Margarito's hands wraps when he said it was hand cream and not plaster of Paris. Now that made me sick!
