I think Williams would beat Winky at any stage and even if he wasn't inactive.

Its just a bad style matchup for Winky.

Oh and I'm surprised to see a little sense out of a dummy like you. Well done

people want to name williams a middleweight now, truth is he is a very very good welterweight who can fight small middleweights and win, he shoudlnt be fighting the top guys at 160+, the world is his oyster at 154 and 147 though.

that isnt a discredit to Bernard, that was a fantastic win .. MOSTLY because Bernard is 43 years old...

But Paul Williams is an entirely different fighter... a fighter who uses his legs, who bounces around, who has a great chin, and who throws ridiculous amounts of punches.. and from all different angles.

Bernard would definitely get his shots in, but he is a human being.. and at 44 years old... he cant keep up the pace of paul williams for 12 rounds.

        are you serious?

he almost kept the pace with calzaghe who has a similar out put to williams but at a much higher weight, williams will be too small in build and the weight will slow him down, no way does he throw more than 600 odd against hopkins.

hopkins would beat him pretty soundly.

Why not? I think he can beat Pavlik if his chin is good enough.

pavlik has a high out put himself and matches up, if not over matches williams physically, he punches harder, has a better jab and a pretty good defence.

i think pavlik should beat williams.

Oh I sure did... Id never hide from that fact... I also picked Margarito to run over Mosley

I just think that Pavlik was the PERFECT opponent for Bernard...

Everyone seems to forget about the Hopkins-Winky fight... Hopkins didnt look great, and Winky was fighting at 170...

Like I said this isnt a diss to Hopkins.. the man is 44 years old... I just dont think he could keep up with Williams, even at 168....

That doesnt mean I think Williams can RUN SMW or LHW right now... just against a 44 yr old man....

I'm not saying he wouldn't. I just think Williams future is at middleweight, so if he can't cut it there.....

Hopkins beating Pavlik at 170, doesnt mean hes some new fresh 25 yr old fighter all over again...

Hopkins would definitely get his clean shots in... but it wouldnt be enough... Williams doesnt get embarassed...

I dunno about that. Hopkins is a solid vet. IMO, if they were to ever fight, Hopkins would drop him to the canvas at least once. But i don't know if he'd win by KO.
