The Paul Williams hype is getting a bit out of hand

Yes, I know I am one of the instigators for some of those ridiculous Paul Williams thread. I know some ****** poster put my quote in his sig for saying Williams resume at 168 is par with Kessler. I was joking when I posted that. Not naming any names

    Anyways.
I think some Williams fans need to be brought down to earth.
Paul Williams would be embarrassed by Hopkins now and in his prime. Winky would school him if they fought at 154(A prime Winky).Williams should not be compared to anyone from 168 to 175. He has not fought any credible opponent at those weights.

    HOWEVER
I do favour Williams in beating a Prime Oscar Tito Mosley Ike Vargas and so on.

PS Some posters need to relax when we are talking Williams.

Williams would not be embarassed right now against Hopkins...

Hopkins beating Pavlik at 170, doesnt mean hes some new fresh 25 yr old fighter all over again...

Hopkins would definitely get his clean shots in... but it wouldnt be enough... Williams doesnt get embarassed...

When I hype Williams, I do it in hilarious way. Some people think he could beat Hopkins. That is crossing the line IMO

That's what I've been trying to say Flawless. I have no problem with Williams, and in fact I am rooting for him. It's just ridiculous claims and distortion of the facts that gets me going.

Bernard is a great fighter... but he is not young forever... he cannot beat all elite fighters forever... he had a GREAT fight at 43 yrs old against pavlik... a blown up guy whose slower on his feet, and is one dimensional...

that isnt a discredit to Bernard, that was a fantastic win .. MOSTLY because Bernard is 43 years old...

But Paul Williams is an entirely different fighter... a fighter who uses his legs, who bounces around, who has a great chin, and who throws ridiculous amounts of punches.. and from all different angles.

Bernard would definitely get his shots in, but he is a human being.. and at 44 years old... he cant keep up the pace of paul williams for 12 rounds.

He was embarrassed when he lost to the 7 to 1 underdog Quintana. Lateral movement. That's what beat Williams and thats what Hopkins used to beat pavlik. Think about that for a second.
