man, a lot of people here misunderstand the question. when i say stronger does not mean better as well, just talking in regards to the strenght department
hatton has to be stronger and yes stronger puncher as well, style wise he has to be
cotto's style doesn't require you to be exeptionally strong. that being said, cotto is a strong fighterComment

Cotto is stronger. He has taken punishment and has been dropped in a few fights and then got up and knocked out his opponent(for whomever was saying he has no heart). At 147 he has knocked out 5 out of 7. The only one that he didn't knock out was Mosley (but we know how hard that is to do) and Margarito who beat him while "possibly" using plaster. Hatton hasn't done **** in WW. He "won" against Collazo and got knocked out by a soft puncher(at least at 147) in Mayweather. How can he be considered stronger than Cotto?Comment

I like Cotto, he's better in most departments to Hatton IMO, doesn't mean that a fight between tham wouldn't be a great fight, lets face it Tzsyu was better than Hatton in most depts aswell.Comment

i say cotto is sronger then hatton and has better skils.....but cotto has one of the worse hearts and will to win that I have ever seen in my life.....if you raddle cotto not once but 2 or 3 times...he fold easily.....such a weak minded guy....no offense champ, like i said he beats hatton in an entertaining fight.
he wasn't cheated against, but he continued as long as any guy should've.
Just ask yourself who was the last fighter you seen so bruised -up, bloody in a fight? Most of those guys never come back the same and some of them died.Comment

Hatton has strength in the wrestling dept but I can't help but think about how Cotto was able to wrestle with Mosley and he did very good winning most of the push and shoving and wrestling when they met. Mosley is no cupcake and don't forget Mosley MAN HANDLED Margarito all night long. Hatton has already shown that he is a one weight fighter. He has not been successful at any other weight class other than 140. I know he won an ordinary trinket at 147 but I did not really see him win against Luis Collazo. But then again, both Floyd and Hatton got tired towards the later rounds from all of the holding and wrestling both fighters were doing, anyway I would probably give Cotto the advantage here in strength though.Comment
