Who gets more credit for a win over Hatton. Floyd or Pac?

Nobody knows what we're going to see, Pac win or Pac lose. So it can't be argued definitively before the event. There are permutations and variables to be considered.
I don't think so, to be honest. The difference is, the guys are stronger at 147 than they are at 140, that's why Hatton seems out of his depth, because his style at the championship level has been predicated on being the stronger man. I don't really think the weight was a factor in their fight. I think Hatton would have been surprised by Floyd's strength and skills inside at 140 as he was at 147. But your mileage might vary.Comment

Calm down.Berto was 160 last fight, Collazo 155, Clottey 170 against Corrales and I remember seeing a pic of Cotto weighing 159 fight night, Paul Williams...I don't need to explain...same goes with Cintron and Margarito
Floyd is the only dude at 147 who comes in at 147-149
He ain't a WW
WAKE UP DUDE
All that means is he doesnt dehydrate his body to make weight, he stays in shape year round.
What your essentially saying is... REAL welterweights actually way 15 pounds more and have to struggle to make weight.Comment

If that was the case, then Floyd wanted to avoid an excruciating draining/rehydration he would have gone though to meet 140.
He was walking around 150 ibs when he fought DLH.Comment

I don't understand your post.
The poll question is who gets more credit. I said Pacquiao does. The outcome of the fight is assumed in the question.Comment

This day in age, almost everyone fights a few weight classes below their real weight. Which is why they have to rehydrate after the weigh in.
Andre Berto dehydrates back to 160, does that make him a natural Middleweight?
Floyd would only be a natural Welterweight if weigh-ins were on the night of the fight.
Floyd could make 140 if he really wanted to.Comment

so your saying hes naturally 140 lbs when he hasnt been 140 lbs in 4 years+?This day in age, almost everyone fights a few weight classes below their real weight. Which is why they have to rehydrate after the weigh in.

Paul Williams could make 140 if he wanted too... what does that mean? This day in age, almost everyone fights a few weight classes below their real weight. Which is why they have to rehydrate after the weigh in.

No what that is saying is, he build himself for the weight and he didn't want to rebuild himself incase he came back. Very very hard to build yourself for a certain weight and pretty damn easy to lose it
Hatton didn't want to risk losing his belt and decided he wanted Floyd, remember he also said "I know I'm stronger then Floyd, Floyd is the smallest WW and I could muscle him around"
No one had an advantage over the other, P4P it made sense. Pac and Floyd deserve the same creditComment
