Even 140 is pushing it for Marquez, but i feel his skillset will make up for the few pounds.
      Deevel,

How is Marquez "severely disadvantaged" by fighting a guy who weighs five pounds more than him?

But with Floyd - Pavlik, Floyd would have to move to 160

He's held to different standards, but thats what happens when your that good

        Castillo - 9 pounds

Benny, is that an accurate statement?
yea....floyd called oscar out, and MOVED UP to fight oscar, let oscar pick the ring size, gloves, purse split, ring girls, and who was gonna sing the national anthem too.....

i just can't understand how marquez calls him out, and floyd is expected to make special accomodations for him......

marquez either wants the fight or not. go fight morales.

Yes, I would have made this point as well but I know what the replys would be: Gatti...past prime; Oscar; blown-up LW; Castillo...he won....etc. etc. etc.
          Floyd's a *****, *****, etc. etc. etc.

But it is true, Floyd is usually out-weighed but few care to be honest.

You would say "Floyd shouldn't be calling Pavlik out if he isn't ready to fight him. What a *****".

I got love for you , man... but you're lying your ass off right now.
You act like Marquez agreed to fight at 147 when he mentioned Floyd's name as a potential opponent. 2 weightclasses seperate the 2 fighters. Why not meet eachother half way and fight at 140?

once again marquez pushed this fight....i think marquez shouldnt even be fighting floyd...i think it will be a bad move....he needs to fight a proven 140 guy first

It doesn't mean the point doesn't stand.

If we look at Fight-time weight things change.

So you are saying JMM didn't know where Floyd fought last?

154 against dlh was not a risk? giving in to all his demands was not a risk? revisionist history at its finest!

The hell with this whining you pbf detractors keeping posting. this man worked his ass off to get this position of leverage so he, not u or me get to decide who and under what terms he fights. sad thing about it, all the guys he "should" be fighting have done nothing to garner the opportunity to fight him! Yes, opportunity! Thats why they keep mentioning his name & why this forum along with many others light the *** up when his name is mentioned!

you all should be xcited he is even coming back! instead yall water the board down with the same stale attacks. your frustration should be aimed at the other fighters who fail to establish their percieved greatness in order to get the opportunity to fight the worlds best!

                      My question is this:

Why can't Marquez fight a guy who weigh weigh 4-5 pounds more than him? Period. That's it. Just answer that.

He is fighting Mayweather. Not Clottey. Floyd won't be 170 on fight night.
