Tito's reaction? how many fighters have that reaction when they know the fight is close? does that automatically give us a right to assume that they only reacting like that because they really felt they lost? Timothy Bradley cried even threw his interview, is that to suggest that he somehow knew he didn't deserve the win as you're trying to implicate on Tito? I'm curious..
another thing is that people were already catching on to that whole fake flurry **** De La Hoya does where he throws 10 punches and only 1 lands but since he made the sound effects with his mouth and made each shot LOOK as if it landed he gets credit, that's what he did to many of his opponents and that don't score points, Trinidad in the long run scored enough points from the earlier rounds to solidify his lead and he didn't win by much but to discredit Tito for that loss is to discredit Mayweather against Castillo..
also what I really hate about not just this message board but MOST of them is that you'll have a fan saying "De La Hoya should've won" but they have De La Hoya pictures all over the place, u can't help but think they are speaking biased because what a coincidence that the man you said should have won is in your avatar, you're obviously a fan of his. it just waters own the overall mutual respect from member to member because you're talking mainly to a fan and not knowledgeable person. all that I personally can say on the matter is that that's a fight where a winner and a loser must be decided and the winner can't be the runner because in this sport runners RARELY ever win regardless of name and face
????????????????????????WTF does Castillo have to do with the Trinidad vs DLH convo?LOL
Look twist it anyway you want and you can see my post history to see I call it like it is. I don't side with Mexican fighters because I am Mexican. People still talk about DLH vs Trinidad because it was a CONTROVERCIAL win, get it?
I am more than a fan, I am very knowledgable about boxing and I just can't see this fight going to Tito, maybe a tie worse case senario but no way does Tito do enough to win that fight.
Tito was getting the jab all night long, so much so that he complained to his father he couldn't breath and you can hear that in spanish in the corner. Not to mention I was in a room full of Puertoricans who even thought DLH won that night.
I also think you have to know the history with King and DLH and understand there were things that were fishy that night.
Like I said, whats done is done and Tito got the official decision but I have seen that fight a ton of times and I can't see Tito coming off with the win. Sorry I can't......
If you disregard performance and just went with who he beat and where they were in their career.
1. Oscar De La Hoya
2. Fernando Vargas
3. William Joppy, Maurice Blocker, Hector Camacho, or Pernell Whitaker (depending on far gone you thought he was.)
If Performance comes into play, you have to drop the DLH win down the list.

Edit: and to co-operate with the point of the thread well I'd say..
Whitaker
DLH
Reid
I'm Puerto Rican, HATE, I mean HATE De La Hoya, and believe he EASILY won (in fact, DOMINATED)
Thing is, Whitaker was WAAAY past his best, Oscar actually beat him, and Vargas was prime, having just beat Winky and Quartey. That makes the Vargas win much better than the Sweet Pea and Oscar wins.
How come so many people say Whitaker. I've watched alot of Pernells fights and by the time he fought Felix he was not only shot as ****, but enjoying a cocain habbit also. Prime Whitaker V Trinidad would look nothing like the fight which happened.
How obvious is this thread. An Oscar fan asking for Tito’s best win. People will name Oscar as one of his best wins. Then he will proceed to say that Oscar really won that fight trying to discredit Tito
I feel ya. I had the oscar vs Tito 5-2 after 7. Then Tito won 4-5 easy. Oscar vs Tito was just like Cotto vs Margarito accept Cotto did way more damage and cotto didnt run at the end. Oscar fought like a straight ***** and lost period.
