Basically, Floyd not only got into Hatton's head, he got into the heads of all of Team Hatton.

    Watch this vid:

I love how you try to analyze this like you were actually there...

Got into the head of team hatton, thats a good one.. They trained for a war and hatton showed up for the fight of his life and came up short.

Then Floyd starts the same thing over again. Watch it and tell me that Floyd is not one of the smartest boxers ever. This was all planned from the 1st Round. As I've said before, Floyd was throwing that check hook from round 1 until it connected beautifully, with some minor adjustment, in the 10th for the TKO. The 8th round by FMjr was one of the best until JMM's 8th round domination of Pac on their last fight. Beautiful stuff.

Floyd is one of the best fighters, yes somewhat protected, ever. The guy could adjust to anybody, De La Hoya, Manfredy, Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Judah.

I think he has a shot at beating anybody, but he thinks about the risk/return factor of any fight. He's a smart businessman.

It reminded me of the Corrales fight. I think it was round 7.

PBF throws a left hook to the body. Chico sucks it up. They box. 10 seconds later, he throws a harder left hook downstairs. Chico eats it. It hurts. He jabs to the belly. Then pump fakes another left hook to the body. Chico drops the guard. Left hook upstairs right on the chin.

      Down goes Corrales. Nice.

Do we need to be there to see a fighter operating out of character? Was there another fight where hatton was super-amped at the weigh-in? Where he talked about his opponent constantly?

Yes. I stand by my statement. I think Mayweather got into the heads of Team Hatton. I respect your right to disagree.

Why else would Graham be (appear?) so offended: "One dimensional?!"

Hatton didn't come up short. He didn't come in second. He got dominated. Then KO'd. In a comical fashion.

Funny how that works, huh? Enzo Calzaghe gets it. You have to be fluid in training. This isn't Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots.

He just goes out there and carries his gameplan to a T. And if doesn't work, he always has a plan B.

I'm not a fan of Floyd because he's been too cautious with his career, but you can't deny his talents, smarts and skills. That punch to the solar plexus is a beaut. It sets up everything because it really freezes an opponent. I don't why not too many fighters use this shot. It's one of the most unprotected parts of your torso. Everyone focuses on the a hook to the liver but most of the time, fighters are very well muscled in that area to be really affected instantly. The solar plexus shot stops you from breathing. This is one of Floyd's bread and butter shot.

You have to catch a fighter when he's not in rhythm, and you have to be fast. I would think. I don't think it is a punch anyone can throw. Pac and Zab and Shane should do it.

If a guy times you coming in with that, he will deliver a clean, crunching right hook while the left side is unprotected and you're in close.

And wasn't this Floyd's team's plan all along. Watch the weigh-in and see how badly Floyd got into Ricky's head. For the 1st time in his career, Ricky puts a hand on another fighter on the weigh-in and then grabs the mic to address the crowd. Totally out of character and the unfortunate part is that he carried this into the fight. I doubt it would have changed anything, but instead of losing during the fight, he lost it on the promotional tour when Floyd started messing with his head. Floyd pulled a Mayorga on the pre-fight and Ricky did his best impression of Vargas on fight night (turnbuckle joke - Vargas tried to get his fat ass on the turnbuckle but almost fell).

I hope he doesn't fall for Roach's head games this time because I think, if Floyd Sr. did his job properly, big IF, he has a chance to win the Manny fight.
