I bolded/colored 2 things for emphasis because I noticed the exact same thing when watching Hatton-Mayweather 24/7

what made the show(Mayweather/Hatton 24/7) IMO obnoxious to watch was since Hatton talked about Mayweather so frikin much it's like were getting a double dose of Mayweather .. There's obviously Mayweather's portion of 24/7 being shown ... and then Ricky's half which mostly consisted of trash talking PBF. Hatton criticizing everything from Floyd's training (the hand pad routine "pitter patter, I hope he hits harder then that") the lack of fan base of Mayweather (he has 43 fans and I have 43,000) to even how Floyd spends his money ("look at me car, look at me watch")

is this something a "humble" guy would do? It's almost as if Hatton got caught up and went after Floyd like he was running against him for office rather then boxing him.

What is Hatton trying to prove by going on about how much of a "jerk" Floyd is?

because I dunno about you, but how Floyd trains, how big his fan base is or how he spends his money seems largely irrelevant to what Floyd brings to the table as a BOXER.

And even Ricky's parents got ****** up into it:"I wanna rip that crown off his head". And that weight trainer guy : "if Floyd came to this gym..."

Basically, Floyd not only got into Hatton's head, he got into the heads of all of Team Hatton.

Not to be a ****rider, but... Jeezuss. Floyd's work in the 8th round was some beautiful ****. Mixing up lefts and rights downstairs with the upper cut and the right cross.

        Even Steward liked that.

i can see this fight having 3 possible endings

            1) pac blitz right through hatton and stops him in under 2 rounds
            2) the fight is somewhat competitive due to all the excessive holding hatton will be doing and hatton gets stopped around the 6th
            3) hatton lands a clean (and extremely lucky) shot, pac goes down. gets up, flurries and gets caught again and is KOd

one scenario that is NOT going to happen is hatton via decision

Nice one! The 8th round was one of the most beautifully carried out gameplan a boxer has ever done, period. Floyd knew exactly what he was going go to do, five punches ahead. Body, body and then feint to the body, Ricky reacts and then straight head shot, then Floyd straightarms Ricky with both hands to stop Ricky from starting his own rythm. Then Floyd starts the same thing over again. Watch it and tell me that Floyd is not one of the smartest boxers ever. This was all planned from the 1st Round. As I've said before, Floyd was throwing that check hook from round 1 until it connected beautifully, with some minor adjustment, in the 10th for the TKO. The 8th round by FMjr was one of the best until JMM's 8th round domination of Pac on their last fight. Beautiful stuff.

Floyd is one of the best fighters, yes somewhat protected, ever. The guy could adjust to anybody, De La Hoya, Manfredy, Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Judah.

I think he has a shot at beating anybody, but he thinks about the risk/return factor of any fight. He's a smart businessman.

Let's put it this way, remember how class FMJr towards Ricky Hatton and his fans was after the fight. He heaped tons of praises at them, not a single putdown.

IMAGINE, IF RICKY WON THE FIGHT! Ricky and his camp would have badmouthed Floyd for being a chump, a loud mouth who can't back up his hype, guaranteed. His mom would have been up at the podium talking smack!

Floyd PROMOTES fights with his mouth and is all down to business on fight night. All his fights are like this. Ricky believes he is the best, talks smack before and after the fight, and offered tons of excuses when he lost. I can't believe he was complaining that FMJr used his arms and elbows the whole fight. Is it that the way Ricky fights all the time. He even tried to break Floyd's arm in the early rounds.

Ricky is not a humble guy at all.

Have you ever seen a Hatton fight where he wasn't able to impose his style? At least in spurts?
