He's got better skills than Pac and talent wise he's p4p but he just can't walk straight back into the number 1 spot. It's like saying if Marciano were still alive and came out of retirement would he be the number 1 heavyweight going around because he never lost and was at the top when he retired?
Who is P4P if Mayweather returns ?

Sorry... did'n mean to... I did not close my mind... I closed the forums to get rest... been on the forum boards for more than 8 hours. No, sir. You are being immature.
It's not "what makes me feel I know more". It is fact. You belittle yourself with that attitude. I'm trying to share information with you....why close your mind?
Floyd had been P4P #1 for approximately three years. There were always a small minority of writers who voted Pac #1. It was not unanimous, but PBF's #1 standing was not "in dispute".
And I CLEARLY said that the mythical p4p crown has to be earned IN THE RING. Floyd hasn't fought in nearly 2 years, ahile Pac and JMM have been knocking kniccas out.
It is similar to when USC is number 1 in BCS, but Oklahoma has a few first place votes.
when I woke up walker is killing arreola. want a link?Comment

to be fair, pac had career defining wins while floyd was retired. its unfair if he loses his spot with just any other fightComment

Its true, it applies to any sport really. If the "best" retires...n floyd was the best p4p figher when he retired....So if they did retire n take a year n a half or so break, when they come back of course every1 is going to EXPECT them to pick up where they left off..I can guarantee you that all of these posters will demand more of Mayweather when he comes back then they will of pacquaio.

and all these people are not even mayweather haters...
but it will be human natural for them to treat mayweather as the #1 fighter in the sport. because it is all they know how to do since for the past 4 years in which 3 of those years mayweather was #1 they treated mayweather as #1
so a normal person is going to expect more of floyd, and him to come back with a **** to prove hes still the fighter he was..in order for him to prove hes still number 1. Yeah it will be a tune up fight first, but it doesn't have to be a sloppy fighter just to prove he still has it. If he came back with a big fight and won it...in my eyes he will reclaim that pfp #1 spot. Even tho i think pacman would give him a run for his money, i think if he beat some1 like JMM (dunno if tht would happen) but a high profile person, he takes his spot back and i think its down to pacman to take the spot from him in a fight as im sure they could meet at a weight they are both comfortable at...light welter maybe? Especially if pac beats hatton, will probs tempt floyd even more. (Thats if he is willing to fight the best)Comment
