Jeff Lacy Decisions Otis Griffin, Roy Jones Jr. Next?

Lacy was KOing higher quality fighters than last night within 5 rounds for a few years before the Calzaghe fight. He's completely shot now, you can't take a sustained 12 round beating like he did against Calzaghe and expect it not to effect him. Pre Calzaghe he was much better, now he's more shot than Roy Jones.

What higher quality fighters have he fought that he knocked out within 5 rds? He was over hyped from the start. He really doesnt have any boxing skills. He just comes foward takes punches just to get off a left hook. Calzaghe just exposed a hype job.

can we stop with this calzaghe ruined lacy bull. i seem to remember lacy going life and death and winning a controversial decision against omar sheika before he fought calzaghe. sheika and griffin are basically on the same level. nothing has changed. old robin reid isnt around to be rabbit punched.

roy's legs are gone, lacy will have the puncher's chance like he did against taylor. hopefully, jones will take the win and then retire....probably lacy should retire too

Didn't Lacy sustain a serious shoulder injury in his first fight after Calzaghe? Did he ever fully recover from that?

I was there in attendance. Griffin was very game and should have walked away with a draw. Lacy was pretty avg at best just like he has been in every fight since Calzaghe. I am very disappointed and it's going to be hard to continue to support Lacy....He's not even fun and exciting to watch anymore. Roy will easily box circles around him and maybe even stop him.....And Roy himself is pretty avg at this point in his career IMO. I'm sad but it's over I have no hope left for Lacy.

I seen it friday too, and I also was thinking the same thing that Roy will probably stop him at this point. Some others disagreed with that view but they didnt see how much Lacey struggled with Otis (who is not even top a top 30 fighter).

Roy is pretty shot but he still has speed and power (I think his power slipped some but he can still KO). Roy is bothered by pressure but Lacey is unable to put anything together and has no power anymore, Lacey doesnt have anything to bother Jones. Lacey was also taking a lot of flush shots from Otis and if Otis can hit him that easy, Roy could land at will on him. I really dont want to see the fight made, they both should retire.

Probably not but its more than just that, his right hand is gone too and he used to have a good right hand pre-calzaghe.

His power is gone a great deal. I dont understand what it is, he is relatively young and always in good shape. He just cant connect like he used to and when he does it doesnt seem like much power. He used to be taking guys out of there and connecting with clean powershots, stopping guys like Reid but now it seems like he is pushing his punches. I dont know what the problem is but he isnt knocking Roy out at this point if he cant KO Otis.
