Toney fight because he was being called a fraud (and rightly so) and he knew Toney was well out of shape and killing himself to make 168. He had to lose like 35-40lbs in 6 weeks and the Roid groupies have the nerve to moan about him losing to Tarver when it was much less. At the end of the day that's his only A-level win on his resume, and it was against a cardboard cutout of an A-level fighter. Pretty sad how so many people can be so gullible, just because they see top notch handspeed and brutal KO's of bums...I'm almost embarrassed for them. I was a Jones fan and still like watching him fight...but I don't get caught in the hype.

Hell Jones's win over Reggie Johnson is better a win than Joe's win over Lacy. Lacy never fought a live opponent when he was champ. Johnson flawed James Toney and fought a relatively close fight, and he beat Steve Collins in a war.

I would never use Hopkins as an example. I dont think he won the fight.

Reggie Johnson whooped Steve Collins. Steve Collins whooped Eubank twice before Calzaghe beat him. Reggie hardly won one round against Jones

Jones win is about as good as Berbick's over Ali or Camacho's over Leonard.
