Hopkins went on to fight Pavlik, What did Calazghe do? He should have faced Pavlik before he faced Hopkins, or atleast after, but instead he went to to face Roy Jones, who was shot est. 5 years ago. Yet, he still claimed Roy Jones was in his "Prime" when he faced him.

The best example of an underrated win for Roberto Duran was his rematch victory against Jorge Fernando Castro.

James Toney defended his belt against the number one contender Tim Littles who was undfeated with wins over contender John Scully and future belt holder Frankie Liles.

Toney destroyed him with power punching, even overcoming a horrible gash over his eye. Littles was never the same after that fight. A very good win that never gets mentioned.

He also came back from a first round kd and defeated Reggie Johnson one month after beating Nunn. Same Johnson who Roy Jones gets credit for dominating some years later.

Duran beat former title holder Carlos Palomino, and most people dont even know who Palomino is, let alone give someone credit for beating him.

Calzaghe vs Hopkins.People cite his age and the judges as though he was responsible for both,and then try to make some vague and nonsensical argument about triangle theories when facing the fact that Hopkins absolutely embarrased the so-called next big thing in boxing.A win it was,and a very underrated one at that.......tick,tick,tick..

This is a good one. Even if people cite his age they fail to mention the fact that most of Nard's best wins came past 40.

Recently what comes to mind is Edwin Valero's win over Vicente Mosquera, Mosquera was ranked in the top 10 by the Ring and Valero won that fight in a war, he doesn't get much credit for it though.

pitalua was ranked 5(and shouldve been ranked #2 IMO), and people are saying valero needs to fight at least top 15 contenders

Vargas defeating Quartey was a good win regardless but I don't think Ike was at his very best for that one. He had already shown signs that he was slipping a bit and he was coming off a one year+ layoff after the demoralizing De La Hoya fight. I think Ike's prime could be seen from '93-'97.

Speaking of Quartey, his win over Crisanto Espana is pretty underrated if you ask me. It was a good, rugged, competitive fight, but Quartey just walked through him at the end of it with a massive volley of rights and lefts in typical Ike fashion, stopping him with another burst just after. Great jabbing battle for sure. Check it out when you get a chance.

Karmazin beating Ouma is an underrated win in my opinion. I know there was talk about Ouma being ill around the time of that fight, but Kassim looked like the next great Jr. Middleweight leading up to that point and Karmazin completely dominated him. It wasn't even close. I was on board the Ouma fan club after watching him dismantle Kofi Jantuah, but he was surprised against Roman.

Michael Carbajal's win over Jorge Arce is a bit underrated to me. Carbs was an old man at that point and was being dominated by the younger Arce, who had just won the WBO light flyweight title not too long before. Carbajal lands that massive shot out of the blue and proves once again how supreme his punching power was. He was able to ride off into the sunset as a champion with that performance. Carbs was one of the most devastating punchers I have ever seen at any weight.
