this is going to be a tough, tough fight for Cotto. Clottey has a good defense but not unbrakable. We have seen him against Marg, good defense, and against Judah; boring ass fight were if it wasn't by the head-butt Judah would've that belt.....

We obviously watched two different fights because Judah was hit by a punch that split his eye open and said it was a head butt, then lied & said he couldn't see to get out of getting beat down. Zab did the same against Floyd by low blowing him when he was getting demolished. Clottey/Cotto tough fight for both but Clottey edges it.

Agreed! We all know that whenever Miguel Cotto fights someone that is tough and on an elite level that he has a hard time denting his opponents shell (Mosley/Margarito) I think Cotto will be competitive but clottey is going to be a lil too durable & accurate for Cotto especially since Cotto is always wide open to get hit & Clottey is a good counter puncher & has a great defense & can take a punch & pressure pretty well. Cotto would have to find a way to get to Clottey's body but even then it might not make that big of a difference because Margarito teed off on Clottey too & he ate them pretty well. Clottey/Cotto is going to be a test of wills.

Clottey's long layoff will affect him. There is no way he has an easy time making 147 to begin with, factor in the layoff and his camp is gonna be hell. Plus there is also ring rust that he'll have to deal with, the guy will not have fought in 10 months.

I think the Margarito wrap thing coming to light will help Cotto. Now obviously no one knows for sure whether it was used in the Cotto fight, Cotto thinking it was, for better or worse, will help his psyche. I think he was kind of down on himself and hearing this boosted his confidence which is something I think he sorely needed.

Just some food for thought on out the ring things that could affect the fight.

Cotto is the new blockbuster fighter of the summer... damn this fight is going to be awesome.. now this is a true welterweight match up at best..
