You ****ing Miguel Cotto fans are bitches I swear. This is boxing and people can base their talk about whatever or whoever they feel and that's why this is a boxing website so people with thoughts and opinions can mesh up & exchange verbal jabs. Just because people are not 100% on Cotto beating Clottey down like Cotto fans believe, don't mean that there is a conspiracy to see him lose? It's just because WE know that Cotto is tough but Clottey is tough as well & will put up a fight & won't back down to Cotto (HAS CLOTTEY EVER BACKED DOWN) The guy had a broken hand & still lasted so WE know that Cotto is not going to walk through him & the fight will be competitive.

The thing I don't like about Cotto fans is that everything you guys say is based on Puerto Rico and how great the fighters are but yet that allows you to make UNLIMITED excuses about them when they lose or people are not totally sold on them just because they are from PR. Get off the fighters & your own ****s and just see **** for what it is. If you want to believe that Cotto is going to beat down Clottey fine so be it! but don't get mad when others don't share your view like you?

True! Mosley did underestimate Cotto's chin that night. I could even see the look in his face when he hit Cotto & Cotto didn't go down. In regards to Margarito, I'm not talking about the alleged Plaster I'm talking about the pressure Margarito put on Cotto & the fact that he couldn't dent Margarito with his power & how Margarito didn't let Cotto plant his feet to get that body punch off.

i get you, but margarito is a pressure fighter, with or without plaster. clottey is a pure counter puncher and loves to wait on opportunities... i've never seen him pressure other boxers, not even the shot, overweight corrales he fought

the only way i see him winning is to land a flush shot, which he's capable of doing, but mosley was just as capable and couldn't stop cotto

if cotto plays it safe and smart, i could see a boxing clinic by him, since clottey's style is perfect for him IMO. you just can't fight miguel without pressuring, so unless he does the pressure game perfectly for the first time in his career, he's gonna lose in my opinion

Agreed! We all know that whenever Miguel Cotto fights someone that is tough and on an elite level that he has a hard time denting his opponents shell (Mosley/Margarito) I think Cotto will be competitive but clottey is going to be a lil too durable & accurate for Cotto especially since Cotto is always wide open to get hit & Clottey is a good counter puncher & has a great defense & can take a punch & pressure pretty well. Cotto would have to find a way to get to Clottey's body but even then it might not make that big of a difference because Margarito teed off on Clottey too & he ate them pretty well. Clottey/Cotto is going to be a test of wills.

I think that the Chico Corales fight with Clotey is a good fight to learn from, Corales did penetrate Clotey but took a lot of damage by doing so, but Cotto is no Corrales or Margarito, he is faster and moves way better he aint going to stay for the damage, but still this is going to be a great fight and hard for both guys, may the best prepare win..........Cotto by D

You guys NEVER get the big picture. If you ever read any of
my posts, you would NEVER read Black, White, Mexican, Puerto Rican. What I wrote was not disrespecting NO RACE or ethnicity but pointing out the constant beef I have with a certain fighters fans in particular because prior to people disowning this guy, it was still a couple of posts where people thought it was funny. I grew up in BK, but was raised in Queens, (East Elmhurst, Corona) and currently live in Spanish Harlem so I'm around the Boricua's on the reg with NO probs. I even got Pics with some of my peoples from Corona. TRUE I should not have categorized every Miguel Cotto fan poster & for that I appoligize but you guys have to admit, that Miguel Cotto fans go hard ESPECIALLY when you talk about him not being able to hang with Floyd, am I wrong? Anyways, NO big deal, but just had to address the guy who wrote it. I'm about talking boxing and who I think has a chance or No chance at all. The race thing should be checked at the door. I'm familiar with MANY of you guys and you me and not one of you can say I'm trippping on race at no point.

Yeah, I can see that happening because Miguel Cotto weakness is pressure. Mosley figured that out half way throught the fight & it cost him. Clottey can't afford to try to out box Cotto. But I think Cotto style will make Clottey fight more aggressively.
