Actually, I'll go with the latter. I think a prime Chico is too big and punches too damn hard for JMM and probably k.o's him...as much as I like JMM I think this might be a bad matchup for him.

Corrales was a one punch KO artist
Valero is a one punch KO artist
Julian Jackson was a one punch KO artist
Now those are true one punch KO artists. Guys that basically can be losing every round then wham put the other fighter's lights out with one flush shot.

Pac is definitely a knockout artist just not a 1 punch KO artist. Valero wouldn't need half the punches Pac landed on David Diaz to ice him nor half the punches JMM landed on Juan Diaz to KO him as well. A few flush shots might seal it against such poor defensive fighters.

Wow I'm suprised Corrales is getting so much kudos that now you guys got me thinking I made the wrong pick. I wish Chico would have had a solid win against a top level opponent like JMM. Sucks that it never happened.

This is why I love this site and i'd green K all of you if i could!!

Yeah, a couple of one punch kos here and there is great, but it still doesn't make you a one punch KO artist, ala, Valero, Gerald Mclellan, Razor Ruddock, Foreman in the 70s.

            yo man! sup?

            you mean flyweight and superbantam

at 122 he was showing some serious power, at 112 Manny was just an accident weighting to happen (weightdraining with body still growing, obviously he would have had power over natural 112ers).

But the point is that Chico was able to knock ppl out just by landing one or a few shots. Pac usually lands for a while and destruction would naturally follow, even in the Lucero fight he was landing during the 1st 2 rounds. The KO was not a light punch though...

i agree chico, has more pop in his punches than MP in a P4P sense...

I rarely post here, but I had to when Corrales' name was brought up. For me, he is the ultimate warrior, one of my all time favourites. Interestingly enough, I became a fan after the Mayweather fight. I have never seen that much courage in a fighter, it was unbelievable what this guy would do to stay in the ring. One of the only guys, I would pay PPV for.

He did have wins against top level opponents - Freitas, Casa, Castillo. Those names weren't walks in the park.

Sorry, man. I am referencing a previous post about Manny being a one punch KO artist. I thought you knew what were discussing when you posted your reply.
