    Chico by KO 8.

Marquez doesn't use a whole lot of lateral movement, which is what Corrales had problems with. Marquez likes to counter while trading. He'd probably win most of the rounds for as long as the fight lasted, but with this style, Corrales would get his shots in as well, the difference being his destructive power.

I doubt Marquez will stop Diego. Chico was one of the most determined fighters ever, period. His fight with Mayweather proved how tough this guy was. Plus, he's only been truly KO'd once, by Jose Luis Castillo. The other 2 KOs were due cuts (Casa) and corner stoppage (Mayweather).

Chico also packs power in both fists. If Manny, who isn't a one punch ko artist, was able to drop JMM four times, Diego should be able to hurt, knock JMM down a couple of times or quite possibly, KO him. Remember, Freitas, Casa and Manfredy were slick boxers, but Chico eventually caught up to all of them.

I think this fight is a toss up, with both chins getting checked. However, I would give the nod to the late Diego Corrales by early to middle round stoppage, where Marquez usually gets caught or tagged.

present day JMM gets hit too much... Chico is a great finisher IMHO.. he can get the job done once he hit JMM...

This board is always funny because everyone loves Chico and has respect for him but when it comes to matches, they always act like he was a garbage fighter. You never see a poll where Chico wins a fight and everyone picks out his flaws like he was nothing. A prime Chico was a monster and I think he would slaughter JMM

Yeah, and when you think about that one too, that was when Castillo came in overweight and Chico had to drain himself to make weight, so that must've had some effect on the outcome, too.

No. Corrales was done after the first fight. Completely spent, and it showed in every single fight he had since. He woke up the next day as a different fighter. I don't think it would have mattered.

You know their KO percentage wasn't that far apart either! JMM 67% KO rating while Corrales KO percentage was 73%.
