And to the dude who said the indentured servants were treated worst than american ******. No that is not true, they were bondage workers and it was for a limited time. They also weren't seprated from their families and denegrated like animals, and etc.

And in a world history, no other country or continent or people has endured more injustices than africa, including the ***ish people.

I understand the sensitivity aspect, but it should go both ways. A lot of black people of the current generation seem to think that white people should take abuse because of something that happened years ago and even worse feel that white people should somehow feel guilty and owe them something.

This country does have a long way to go. But harboring resentment isn't going to make it better any faster. I don't personaly know anybody who feels slavery wasn't a terrible thing (though I do acknowledge there are people out there who feel opposite). With that said, it still had nothing to do with me. If you want sensitivity we have to keep doing what we've been doing.....educating. all the other non sense, hate, name calling, stereo types, derogatory remarks etc, etc, etc, are all part of the same vicious circle from BOTH sides. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I hate the victimization argument but I think the native American and Australian aborigine people would beg to differ. There has been evil in every corner of the world. The tribes that were enslaved, killed and forgotten about the world over except for the monuments put by their conquerors would also disagree with you.

Some say generational slavery is worse that slavery where the ****** die off and not produce slave children. Others would disagree. Regarding separation from families and being degraded etc... ****** everywhere experienced that.

being called a white boy is abuse? I am black....and trust we don't sit around wanting white people to feel guilty about slavery or jim crow or lynchings.

But we do want it to be acknowledged and we want the impact of that experience to be acknowledged. I have read quite a few people say things like blacks today weren't ****** and get over it. Well that is easy to say when your loved ones haven't lived that life. My grandma has lived through depression and jim crow. And her mother was a slave. Trust me, it is passed down. That pain is still felt and it's gonna take sometime for things to get to where they should be. But like the ***ish people we will never forget!

So u might get some backlash or push back when u say get over it so simply don't say it. I would trade that heritage, legacy, history of slavery for the concerned of being called black boy anyday.

Try and look it at from that point of view and maybe you can be enlightened and not feel bothered by that no more. Being called a white boy or having to deal with that history....u got it good!

not quite....they are similarities in every corner like you say. And i'm not trying minimize the struggle of indentured servants or other peoples, but the struggles of the people africa have been the worse and cont. To be till this day.

Fact is this world is beautiful but evil and bad at the same time. Since the beginning of time people have done evil things, but the atrocites done to blacks in the americas and africa were the worst.

black people don't want white people to take abuse or feel guilty; all we want is for them to know what happened and be sensitive about it instead of being diicks.
