Could Roach turn Valero into the next Pacquiao?

The only similarities these two share is the fact they're both raw looking southpaws. That's it. Career wise, Valero will probably fight the best since he's got no older guys around him to feast on. He's surrounded by young fresh talent. And I don't think he's scared of any of em lol..

Doubtful. Valero just seems like a pure power puncher who does the 1 thing he does very well and ain't changin.

They are soooo similar, it ain't even funny. At least the raw look of Valero that Manny used to have. If Roach can sharpen him out abit, he could easily work off of Valero's aggression. He's got all the tools to be similar to Manny, but needs someone to really hone them. I think with Valero's style and Roach working with a great southpaw like Manny, it could only be a good thing.

Roach is on record saying he doesnt thing much of Valero...so I doubt he's interested in training him.

Valero throws monstrous bombs for his weight. A true puncher, I doubt he can change his style much at this point.

The only improvements I can see, is perfecting his timing and angles. If your going to be a one dimensional fighter, be the best at it.
