Could Roach turn Valero into the next Pacquiao?

They are soooo similar, it ain't even funny. At least the raw look of Valero that Manny used to have. If Roach can sharpen him out abit, he could easily work off of Valero's aggression. He's got all the tools to be similar to Manny, but needs someone to really hone them. I think with Valero's style and Roach working with a great southpaw like Manny, it could only be a good thing.

valero is too old now and I don't think he even listens to his corner. valero seems like he does what he wants in the ring.

            no.

Pac speed, better skills and chin are way better than Valeros.

His timing looks great against bums but i doubt he'll look as good against the top dogs.

Are you kidding? His speed is exactly like Manny's if you saw the fight this past Saturday. That quick right he threw that dropped Pitula, I did not see at all until the replay. Even the announcers who sat ringside thought it was the left that dropped him. It was lightening quick. Even his fights in the past, now I'm not saying all of them, but I've seen afew where he's landed some bombs that you could not see coming unless you slow motion the video. His physicality is near identical to Manny.

Nope, the fight nothing alike. A fighter has to be willing to accept training, and Valero has gotten worse technically, maybe he can improve a bit but he is now used to winning on his power so to truly become much better he has to realize this.

Unless he catches a nasty boxing lesson soon, then maybe that spurs some improvement.

Valero has great speed i dunno what you guys are smoking.

But to answer the question, yeah obviously Roach could do wonders with him. He needs to add some upper body movement, amongst other things.

There are a lot of similarities though, no question.
