Diaz' jab and style in general are far more effective then Valero's. Diaz probably has one of the best, if not the best jab in boxing. Diaz' jab and ability to get inside and put work in is crazy good. With Valero, you could tell he would struggle if he's forced to move with leather in his face upsetting his rhythm. Plus Marquez only gets caught with heavy shots when he's reaching or when he doesnt see the shot. I mean he eats a straight left from Paq like an Apple if he see's it coming. The only time Marquez has been either knocked down or rocked against Paq is when he doesn't see the punch.

I think Marquez would be able to counter Valero all night if he didn't get too greedy.

Not that long ago I remember comparisons of Kermit Cintron to Tommy Hearns........

The bottom line is Valero is a pretty good fighter, but that's about it from all I've seen of him.

He was very sloppy last night against Pitalua, particularly when he was going in after the first knockdown.

I didn't see the "calm, calculated finisher" that the commentators told me he was.

I saw a guy who was headhunting, missing half his shots, and having the other half of his shots either partially blocked, or barely grazing Pitalua while he tried his best bob and weave.

LOL @ the Valero hype train.
don't worry bout it mate it's the typical **** just as you said cintron, and Lacy and margarito and Valero, it's all pathetic hype, the first time Valero steps up just like Lacy hel'l be owned. He has no defense, fought nothing but record padding bums and teh only guy with some skill that he fought in Mosquera he got owned for 10 rounds, landed on at will with power bombs, dropped once and barely won. And who the **** is mosquera? Imagine that was JMM or even Guzman? Valero would not see the final bell of the 6th round
