Agree....... but that can also be used to gauge how overrated someone is as it can for how underrated they are. I suppose it comes down to interpretation of the individual.

I consider those guys to be about the same type of level and maybe 1 or 2 a slight notch above each other. They are all very very good fighters, but not elite. Its like the 168lbs div now. I see a lot of names, but i dont see a really great fighter in that crop they all look to be on the same type of level.

Its like Eubank and Benn. Both were very very good champions, but i dont consider either to be elite.

My criteria is different. To me a "great" resume is noted when a fighter has defeated elite names.

Castillo might lose to all time great lightweights, but he had a really damn good reign

And that is why i rate him as a very very good fighter with a good resume, but he is just shy of elite imo.

That is just my criteria though.
Fair enough. I think Castillo is definitely HOF though. Would you agree?

WOW Mayweather has done more in less fight yet he gets more criticism.

Why not hate a young rich successful black ATG fighter

Exactly. Floyd had a lot on the table still when he retired. And gave some bull**** excuse that he had nothing 2 prove. Get the **** outta here

mayweather i feel had a lot more left in the tank and there were a lot of interesting prospects out there for him. on the other hand calzaghe had made +20 defences was 36 years old and bar maybe dawson had no real prospect out there.

                mayweather

wow...i am pretty sure both calzaghe and mayweather are going into the hall of fame.

anyways i would have like to see a cotto vs. pbf fight
and i would like to see a calzaghe vs. dawson fight

but at the end of the day, cotto and dawson havent accomplish what calzaghe and mayweather has accomplish. so there wasnt a mandate for them to fight them.

Like their was for SRL vs Hagler. Because they both were on the same scale in terms of greatness...

Cotto and Dawson are good up and coming fighter for the future, But at the end of the day although i would have love to see those fights.

I will not hold it against calzaghe or mayweather for not fighting them. because cotto and dawson were not on those 2 fighters level in terms of greatness for the fight to be a mandate.

and guys please check my thread history before you called me a calzaghe or pbf nutthugger, i made threads about how i would like to a see a cotto vs. floyd fight.

                    Calzaghe.

I really wanted to say Floyd, because retiring in your prime just to retain your "0" is inexcusable to me, but at least Mayweather has stuck his hand in the lion's mouth more than once during his run and left on a high note, taking the biggest fight at the time. Joe went unchallenged through too much of his career and had the nerve to stop at Chinny Jones Jr. after all the years complaining about lack of recognition. I mean c'mon.

Sorry, but Calzaghe is a fraud.

The only thing dodgy about Mayweather is his Welterweight career. But he proved himself in the other divisions.

calzaghe on the hand took 10 whore years to unify in one of the worst boxing divisions in history.

I mean damn. He never went Prime v Prime with an elite fighter..

His best best wins were against Lacy. The same Lacy who has never held a belt since, and was last seen being schooled by Taylor as a comeback fight lol.

Other one is Kessler. A good opponent, but that said, has never faced anyone except Tomato Cans.

I mean he had the chance to move to the states and Face Hopkins and RJJ PRIME V PRIME, but instead he hid in Wales. When they wer 40+, his "Fear of Flying" was suddenly overcome. LMFAO. What a fraud.

Frank Warren exposed him when he was fired lol,

Sorry, but Joe is a disgrace to the sport. A Talented boxer, but complete waste of time.
