You try hard Laaah, but you make no sense. If Mayweather had Nard's resume he would get mad respect from people.

      Nard has losses doesn't he?

Calzaghe only fought one P4P fighter his whole career.

Mayweather didn't beat the best at 147.(Please don't mention Baldomir!)

        They both deserve criticism IMO.

Well not elite. This isn't the who has the better resume thread, it's the who deserves more criticism thread and that's Mayweather for not fighting Cotto. Calzaghe has a good resume btw, he beat many of the 168 top contenders, who were solid. The "nobodies" were good opponents (save for some of them like Peter Manfredo).

Mayweather-Cotto would have been huge for boxing and would have pretty much sealed Mayweather's questions about him.

Personally I doubt Calzaghe-Hopkins II would be competitive at all. Joe fought the worst fight in several years.
Is this a joke? Of course Hopkins-Calzaghe II would have been competitive. Maybe just maybe Hopkins forced Calzaghe to fight that way. Maybe just maybe Calzaghe struggles with rough tactics like in the Hopkins and Bika fight which make him look subpar. You're right. Hopkins would get blown out. He always gets blown out, especially with his terrible defense.

No wonder Mayweather retired. Boxing fans are idiots. Mayweather has done much more in his career, fought better comp took more risks than Calzaghe.

IMO neither necessarily deserve criticism. It then becomes a question of who deserves the more credit, and I would say Mayweather. Better accomplishments, better skills, better resume. Better fighter.

No thats the problem Mayweather has. Boxing fans are not idiots!!

They know most fighters do it for the money, and unless pressure is put on them by fans/media pundits they would fight Phillip N'Dou's every week, and **** us for PPV money.

A zero on your record means nothing to fans that know whats behind the numbers.

It's much better to retire not being able to string together a sentance with serious brain trauma.

I know whats behind the numbers. Corrales, Castillo x2, De la Hoya, g.Hernandez, Judah, c.Hernandez, Chavez, Gatti, Hatton, Corley, N'Dou, Sosa. Mayweather has many quality wins in his career. Everybody is on Cotto's nuts or was on Margarito's nuts or William's nuts but Mayweather has fought much better comp than those guys. Has beaten HOF great fighters, good fighters and champions. He could even have an L against Castillo, and if you want to argue he lost that fight then he avenged it right away with a clearcut victory in a rematch.
