Disguise what? All of my arguments have been in favor of logic and not Margarito. Just because I don't go around the message board using the same tired ass catch phrases to describe " Margacheato" and "Plastarino" doesn't mean that I support the guy. I just don't approach things like a 7th grader.

He should have been suspended for 2 years and payed a large fine.
If they found evidence that he cheated against Cotto then yes, he should be banned and legal action should be taken becouse of the damage that plaster did .

The suspension is way to light becouse fighter can go a year with out a fight and that pretty normal.

Cheater

The news that the bands seized the Mexican Antonio Margarito, prior to his fight with Shane Mosley, containing two primary elements for the creation of plaster or plaster of Paris, I fell like a bucket of cold water. Since that blew this whole controversy, I preferred to wait for the report before issuing proceedings. Now that came to light, I feel that a suspension for life Capetillo and Margarito is a step further by the California commission. It's simple: there is no room for cheating in boxing and even more is at stake when the health of the rival. I imagine that the lawyers Margarito moved heaven and earth to create doubts about the origin of the substances. Will say that the fighter did not know what the coach was doing (yes Pepe) or invention that came with the gauze a manufacturing fault or that Margarito had rubbed his hands with a new line of moisturizing cream Tornado Intensive Care. It would not surprise me in the end achieved dodge the most severe punishment, but like many, I lost the respect felt for Margarito.

In light of the new evidence, the punishment should be stiffer. As someone pointed out, boxers go a year without fighting regularly so it is not much of a punishment. I support a lifetime ban, but if it is not changed to a liftetime ban, it should be increased to a minimum of three years. In track and field, athletes who get caught cheating get a minimum two-year ban, which effectively ends their careers. Boxing should take the same type of serious approach to this problem. No one who cheats in track and field does it for that one race for which they get caught and I don't think this was Margarito's first time cheating. But even if it was, he deserves a minimum of a three year ban and if he fights in Mexico or any other country before the suspension ends, the ban should automatically become a liftetime ban.

It's not only the ricans it's also a lot of great mexicans like El Gallo Negro (from this website) and Marco Antonio Barrera (is he Rican also???) that have great knowledge of boxing, and a lot of our proud latin race, along with plenty others around the world that are expressing ourselves against this cheater.

It's not our fault that Margarito got caught cheating and now there's a negative thread posted every other day. If he wouldn't had cheated probably he would be receiving positive threads on this website.
Margacheato is the only one to blame for the negative threads, because he was the one that cheated, not the people who express themselves against the cheater.

If expressing ourselves against a cheater is talking ****, i would like to know how you classify the ones who talk in favor of a cheater.
By the way if you don't want to read the **** that we talk about here just don't click on the thread. I'm pretty sure nobody will miss you here.

One more thought, i have seen several Ricans, (like you said) including me, that after the disgrace of Margarito, people have expressed themselves against Mexico and their people, we have stepped up against those type of expression and defended the past, present and future Mexican boxers and their people, because it doesn't matter the great rivary Mexico and Puerto Rico have in boxing (which by the way is the greatest rivary in the sport), it should be our latin race and our country what we need to defend and support and when a guy like Margarito gets caught like he did it not only puts a bad name for the sport, it also affects his people, country and his race including us, the Ricans.

I recomend that if you see another thread with Margarito name on it from now on, don't click on it because you will find 90% of the people on the thread talikng the **** (talking against the cheater) that you don't like and i'll guarantee that the 90% won't be only Puerto Ricans.

I have been one of the guys here that has called out for a banned for life suspension for Margarito but i have also said that there should be a very serious investigation to find out if this happen in the past so I agree on your position that it should be pobably 2 or 3 years because lots of boxers have gone a year with out boxing due to an injury on any other excuse and that doesn't affect the boxer.

If it is proven afterward that it happened before, wheather it was against Cotto or any other boxer (which i truely beleives so) he should be banned for life.
