Nevermind that I fully support Margaritos banishment from the sport now that all the facts have actually come in. As for my common sense, it is quite easy to draw a conclusion especially when its is based on many high probabilities while your accusations of speculation seem to fall short considering there is nothing to be gained except the truth and accept the truth.

Although sad, your statement is true. If Tyson fought again, you never know what will they do with Margarito.

Lets just hope that they get it right this time and by the way, they change the suspension for 2 or 3 years because I agree with what has been said on these threads that 1 year is just one fight and won't persuade anybody from trying it again, especially a young upcoming and unreconized boxer, on which a year off wont hurt him at all. If he goes thru with the suspension and doesn't fight anywhere else, than he can probably get his license back.

Off course this is only if it is not proven that he cheated previously against somebody else because if this happens he should be banned for life.

Mindbat, do you realized that when Naz requested they re-wrap, they initially refused? When Naz said he would ask for the wraps to be inspected after the fight they then were pressured to take the wraps off. That's when they were discovered.

So why ban someone ATTEMPTING to cheat for life but not a known and admitted cheater?

Once again. Margarito didn't attemp to cheat, he cheated.

Just by the act of loading his gloves he violated the rules set for Boxing, therefor, by definition he cheated that's were this 1 year suspension came into play even if he never was allowed to complete his goal which was to use those gloves to hurt a boxer(Mosley) and take advantage in the ring by doing so.
In other words he was caught cheating and was not allowed to continue to cheat in the fight. But by definition he did Cheat.

For Example
It's like a police officer stopping and arresting me while driving with .14 % of alcohol in my body (which is ilegal) when my intentions was going to drive to more parties, have more drinks and drive afterwards with a .25% of alcohol in my body.
By stopping me the 1st time the police officer prevented me to continue to violate the law, which i had already done when i was stopped at 14%.

By stopping Margarito from using the already prepared loaded gloves (ilegal by the rules of boxing), They prevented (stopped) Margarito from continuing the ilegal (cheating)action against Mosley. Noticed that i wrote continuing to cheat, not start to cheat.

I do beleive that unless it is proven that Margarito used this in previous fights he should not be banned for life, but on the other hand he should not be punished for just 1 year , especially after now knowing that it was plaster what he had in his gloves. One year is nothing for a boxer, being that almost all boxers have a period of 1 year of inactivity in their career.

On the other half of your statement, when you mentioned the admitted cheater i quess you referring to Mosley and i agree with you that he should be punished also, and probably for at least 2 years also. The difference between Margaito and Mosley is that Mosley admitted (and that always helps even in court) and Margarito is in total denial and is still using the cheap excuse that he didn't know what was being placed in his wraps.

First of all this is a running disagreement we've had over the last few months so stop with the whole i didn't mention cotto thing because thats the basis for our entire disagreement. Seriously do you have the memory of a Goldfish?

As for drawing conclusions I've said it a million times before that everyone is justified to "Suspect" Margarito of using doctored gloves against Cotto but common sense should dictate that there is no definative evidence to prove that Margarito cheated in that fight. Therefore you shouldn't go around stating it like it's fact and accept what your comments really are. Accusations and nothing more.
