Garbage. Last poll I looked at, Hatton was ahead. Plenty of us had Hatton winning, so this is a load of crap and Hatton needs to stop exaggerating.Speaking with BoxingScene.com, Hatton told Luis Sandoval that everyone thought Paulie Malignaggi was going to beat him by using his speed and boxing ability to win a decision.
What allowed him to dominate was Paulie's lack of offense -- he had one weak hand.Hatton feels that he was faster and a better boxer than Malignaggi, and those two factors allowed him to dominate the fight. He feels Pacquiao is not as elusive as Malignaggi.
More exaggerations."Everyone expected Paulie Malignaggi to out-speed me and out-jab me and I out-jabbed and out-speeded him - and that was just after seven weeks [of training with Floyd Mayweather Sr].
More exaggerations. He was stopped once by body shot, and that was a decade ago. You're not dealing with a little teenager, this is a totally different fighter now.“He's been shaken up several times. He's been stopped twice by body shots.
Of course he's improved. If he hadn't, he wouldn't be P4P #1... something Ricky Hatton will never achieve. You can improve and he's improved technically. I hope that he's improved on that body and that chin because he's going to get hit by the biggest man that he's ever fought.
The same Oscar De La Hoya Hatton turned down a fight with. Easy to talk **** after the fact, but the fact is Manny had the balls to take the fight. Few people are "blinded" by the Oscar win. More of us are not quite as shallow as Hatton suggests. He believes the public is blinded by Pacquiao’s one-sided win over Oscar De La Hoya, which Hatton feels was overhyped because Oscar was drained from trying to make weight.
No they're not, they're going off the fact Pacquiao is an incredibly talented fighter who proved himself many times before he ever stepped in the ring with Oscar.I think Freddie and his camp are going off the Oscar performance.
Yeah right... your dad and your girlfriend are just being nice to you.Everyone I speak to, they don't think he should be fighting me.
'Zilla would get knocked out, he's a *****.They think he should be fighting Godzilla.
That's funny... I'm pretty sure I saw him knock Morales down going backwards and being chased.Hatton also sees a serious flaw. He says Pacquiao is unable to fight going backwards.
Yeah, well, good luck with that.He plans to press the Filipino fighter by coming forward and throwing.
He doesn’t think Pacquiao’s speed will help him get away from the punches.
Manny's speed will help him put his fists in your face. That's all that counts.
You're not fighting Paulie Malignaggi.“Maliganggi tried to get away too.
That's funny... I'm pretty sure I saw him knock Morales down going backwards while being chased.Manny doesn't punch going back on the back foot. He doesn't punch going back.
Blah. Wait and see.He comes forward on the front foot to punch. He does very little punching going backwards. He always punches going on the front foot. To come in on the front foot he has to come into my territory.,” Hatton said.

what made hatton dominate the paulie fight was the fact that paulie wasnt fighting he was barely throwing punches and if hatton feels that he is a better boxer now by his performance in that fight and thinks he can out box manny he is goin to get murdered, hatton needs to stick with what made him famous for this fight because thats his best bet to just maul manny and honestly no when knows how manny will deal with that type of pressureRicky Hatton has absolutely no fear of Manny Pacquiao’s power, speed or footwork. He challenges Pacquiao, the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. [details]Comment
