he barely beat oscar and even manny knocked oscar out.
Hatton is a good win but even he was out of his own division and is known to struggle at WW.
Mayweather is better than most WW but not the best WW
he hasnt fought any Real champions at WW
He has to beat both shane mosley and cotto to even be mentioned as one of the greats.

This is a good thread but you will have to ask his nuthuggers directly cuz i cant find no where in his resume that can be consider great or a legitimate oponent that was not shot!!!

You gotta remember, he didnt become champion by beating Gatti, so just for a second forget that fight ok. He became champion 7 years before that, and never lost. He became by beating Genaro Hernandez, was the first to defeat Diego Corrales in spectacular fashion, then beat Carlos Hernandez and Jesus Chavez while they wre in their primes. He beat Jose Louis Castillo twice, then the last big fights of his career on the grand stage he won, defeating the still in his prime Zab Judah(you can say what you want about Judah at the time but many thought he would defeat Mayweather, and Floyd did have to make adjustments midfight and come from behind to win), he beat DLH, and then finally KO'd the lineal JW champ Ricky Hatton. Who was suppose to beat Mayweather. Other notable mentions are defeats over Baldomir(who beat Judah), Sharmba Mitchell, Demarcus Corley, Phillip N'dou. He was a champion for ten years.
