kidding aside, Pryor has the style to give Floyd fits and athleticism to keep up with Leonard...
no offense, but Pryor would have gotten badly beaten by Leonard. Leonard's speed, size and considerable power would eat him up...Pryor simply left himself open too often, and he wouldnt be able to damage Leonard enough to slow him down before he started getting tattooed.

Mayweather vs Pryor would have been interesting. Mayweather might not have the power to keep Pryor off of him.

      I am being subjective
What Im getting at is both are relatively close in skillsets, no? But Ray has proven himself and his skills against better fighters than Floyd. Floyd may look better, but don't you think that has to do with the level of opposition he's faced? I won't mention Hagler, but I can't see him looking better than Leonard did against Duran or Hearns, though I think he could look as good against Benitez. Just my opinion, of course.

Sugar Ray Leonard. Leonard beat Hearns, Duran, Benitez, etc in his prime. Hearns and Duran are better than any1 on Floyd's resume...well maybe not the Duran in the 2nd fight since he wasn't in shape.

This question really doesn't need to be asked...clear answer.

I don't know. Only thing Floyd has ova Leonard is defense. Ray does everything else better and he beat better fighters.

To be fair Floyd's best weight isn't 147(not regarding accomplishments). Probably 135 or 140. Unfortunately 140 was weak when Floyd was there outside of Kosta, Hatton, and I guess Witter. 135 was ok but nobody on the level of a Hearns or Duran at the weight.

                  good thread Sin....tough call

as a certified SRL hater, it pains me to give my vote to him...i've never hated floyd...i never forgave Ray for not rematching Marvin but...at least...he fought him...and Tommy, and Duran

skillwise, its close...floyd is a brilliant tactician with better defense than Ray but when we talk about 'prime vs prime' its not really about skills...rather what you did in that 'prime'...Ray fought the fights people wanted to see...floyd retired

SRL is the more accomplished and Mayweather is more skilled. SRL would beat Mayweather at 147 but P4P, I don't think so

Pryor is too open and doesn't have the speed to trouble Floyd. Floyd would outbox. Aaron Pryor is a great fighter and lords know how he took Arguello's punches but I'd pick Whitaker, JCC and Mayweather to beat him at 140
