    1. Lab results proved there was plaster in the wraps.

    2. He never used them against Mosley.

    3. There is no proof/evidence that he used it against anyone previous to it being found.

    4. Thus he has never used it against anyone.

So, where has he ever cheated? When, where, and how?

Attempting to do something isn't doing it. I can attempt to walk across a street but if I dont go across I never did it. I can attempt to go from California to New York but if I dont walk, run, locomotive, automobile, fly my ass across the country, then I never did it. You understand the difference between "attempting" and "doing" now?

Unless, Margarito himself comes out and says "yes, I used plaster in [insert questioned fight here]" then he has never used it before.
    its called pre-meditated cheating.

Dont even try to talk to them like intelligent reasonable people. Thats giving them too much credit. What were dealing with is emotional morons much like women who cry when watching their "novelas".

Of course this is a witch hunt, its as obvious as the nose on your face.

You all still dont understand do you?

He got his punishment for ATTEMPTING to cheat. Thus he wasn't banned for life. You all are suggesting to ban a man from boxing for ATTEMPTING to cheat. Rather than making a punishment equal to his crime.

When you attempt murder, you get a lesser sentence than actual murder. When you conspire to commit a felony, you get a lesser sentence than commiting a felony. If you attempt muder(failing at it) your not gonna get sentenced for actual murder.

That is what the NSAC had to consider. Thus they made the right decision. Because that is how the US-law system is. He was suspended for a year, which is a long and crucial time for a boxer in his 30s. He wasn't guilty for armed robbery, he was guilty for conspiring to attempt a felony. Thus his sentence was lowered.

If you cant understand that. Then your not well versed in the knowledge of the fairness of US-law.

He conspired to cheat, which could have lead to very serious injuries.

I understand what you're saying better now. I thought you were just excusing him as if it wasn't a big deal.

But you're not totally right about the lesser sentences for attempted offenses. In MOST cases you are right, especially in the conspiring context. If you're found to plan a murder and get caught before hand, you're right, the sentence would be significantly less.

However, if you physically attempt to kill someone and fail, unless you have a big time lawyer, it's not gonna be much different than if you killed them. I mean if a cop witnesses you trying to shoot someone or attempting to stab them, that kinda ****. In most of those cases, you're getting tried as if you killed them, that's just reality.

Not saying the Tony thing has anything to do with that, just sayin.

Flicker makes a good point that you morons fail to understand.

Margarito is being punished for 1 year because he ATTEMPTED to cheat.

He shouldn't be banned for life because he ATTEMPTED to cheat.

If he had gone into the ring with the loaded wraps, then I would agree BAN him for life.

But you're all emotional and moronic Cotto lovers so their is no reasoning with you.

                    The punishment fits the crime.

Flicker then your subject of the post shouldnt be he never cheated. Unless you were physically present at all his fights and seeing his hand wrappings. Just cause he never got caught doesnt mean he didnt try it
