It's the truth. If any other fighter with the status of Pavlik was taking on the type of opponents that Pavlik is taking on, he would be considered a ducking coward.

Does anyone consider Williams a ducking coward?

LOL he isnt unwilling to take the biggest threat. Man people are quick to jump to conclusions around here.
He fought TOUGH fights all the way up to the champ, beat the champ, rematched and defeated the champ at a higher weight. Since then he has two KO wins over mandatories sandwiched by getting whooped by a HOF fighter. It was a good idea to take the foot off of the pedal for a second. Going straight into an Abraham fight or fighting at elite SMW coming off of that ass kicking would have been a ******, ****** thing to do. So he takes one mandatory, Rubio, who also was top ten fighter, and whooped his ass. Now he has a creme puff, and he plans to fight Abraham afterwards. I dont see what all the fuss is about.

So he needed two tune-ups? Ok. Abraham fight isn't signed yet, you speak as if it is.

Taylor fought Ouma and Spinks back to back before fighting Kelly. Two guys who are elite WWs at best. Dont give me that.
Roy Jones Jr. took on **** opponents, so did Hopkins, Toney, Calzaghe, Mayweather, Pacquiao.... the list goes on.
The only reason Kelly gets so much hate is that he hasnt beaten a real killer since his loss, but thats because his management was playing it safe by getting him back on track.

Kelly wants the fight. Arthur wants the fight. Arum wants the fight. Arthurs people want the fight. If both guys win their fights, its gonna happen. And if its not Abraham you can bet it will be another serious threat, like Williams-Winky.

I hope you are right. Like I said Pavlik is one of my fav. fighters because of his exciting style. But fighting bums as the PPV main event just comes off as trying to cash in before its all done by the promoter.

Rematched the champ(Taylor) because the champ(Taylor) demanded his immediate rematch clause. I dont know if Pavlik-Hopkins had a rematch clause or not. But if he really was sick and that was the real reason he lost, you would figure Pavlik would be pushing for a Hopkins rematch. Hopkins doesn't seem to have many other options so I don't see why he wouldn't accept.

This is what I am saying: This is the road to redemption. If you fail in a math class, are you going to immediately take a different yet equally difficult math class, or are you going to take something to brush up and then give it another shot?
Arum just wants to give Kelly time to lick his wounds, and remind him what a bad ass he is. Rubio isnt a bum, BTW, he was a legit top ten fighter. Regardless, Arum isnt the kind of guy to hide behind mandatories for long, he likes making big fights happen. This isnt Frank Warren.
