Arum just wants to give Kelly time to lick his wounds, and remind him what a bad ass he is. Rubio isnt a bum, BTW, he was a legit top ten fighter. Regardless, Arum isnt the kind of guy to hide behind mandatories for long, he likes making big fights happen. This isnt Frank Warren.
Yeah, I for one expected Rubio to put up a tougher fight. I'll give you that. But not at anytime did I think he had a chance.

I didnt really give him a chance either, but being a top ten fighter that just speaks to how good Kelly really is. He is gonna step up again, bro, trust. He said something along the line of "I am sick of people acting like he is the champ, I am the champ, so I definitely want that fight", I am paraphrasing there, but thats roughly what he said when recently asked about Arthur Abraham.

Pavlik will not fight an elite guy with good movement until he has made a lot of money. Hopkins exposed him as a crude slugger that has footwork that makes George Foreman seem like SRR.

The winner of Winky-Williams would be a significant challenge and a legit title defense, IMO. I agree though: Abraham is far and away the clear number 1 contender. Thats the fight we all want to see.

There would be no point, Hopkins is one bout away from retirement and won't fight him again.

pavlik is not ducking anyoned. he has wanted to fight abraham for some time now, they just couldnt agree on if it was going to be in the US or Germany, and since Pavlik is the undisputed champ i think its him who has the right to say where they will fight. pavlik is going to shove that crown down abrahams neck...
