It's funny how people can make Pauli out to be all big and tough now....

He's not a hard puncher, but the guy NEVER goes down - he is tough in that respect. To fight Cotto for 12 rounds and not get knocked down, and suffer a broken jaw and still fight on shows toughness i'm afraid..

Hw was down in round 3 I think Vs Cotto, cracking punch IIRC>

        Edit it was round 2

IMO Pac would not have last 12 rounds in that fight.

Paulie is tough, no question. I think people get confused with his pretty-boy look so they think he isn't tough but all they have to do is watch the Cotto fight. That was brutal and he still fought back. Still think he was right about his hands in the Hatton fight...punch-shy now from surgeries. Either way, it was good to see Hatton throwing his jab, using combos, and not looking to clinch all the time.

          • The real headline should be..... 'Hatton Downplays Pacquiao's Win Over De La Hoya, Yet Still Takes Full Credit For Beating Prime Castillo'

heart..... and it was wrong for Buddy to pull him out like that. He had no chance to win but it was just wrong.

I actually figured Pauli could pull off a close s/d if he ran ALL night and boxed....

But tough? Cotto defines tough in my books....

LOL okay, let me rephrase that - he very rarely goes down, and doesn't get KO'd lol.. Plus that seemed more like a flash knockdown..

Yes, I was very surpirsied that he didnt clinch.... in fact it was Pauli that clinched 90% of the time.

Castillio ranked 9 P4P by ring less than 2 years since his biggest win.

ODLH not ranked P4P in 5 years, not fought at 147 in 8 years, and 6 years since his last significant win...

Yeah hatton SHOULD take more credit, he actually KO'd Castillio with a peach of a punch that broke four ribs.

It's going to be a good fight and GREAT for the sport but I just dont see Hatton doing anything to stop whats coming to him.............

                      well besides hold....

Odd i said the same exact thing the other day when i re-watched that fight. However im gonna stay neutral as of right now.

True indeed. But the difference is that Cotto fight was 3 yrs ago when both were on the come up and Paulie was undefeated. yet Cotto still managed to put him down in the 2nd and sent him to the hospital. Now a days Paulie is alot softer and chinny. Cotto right now would put him through the meat-grinder within 5 in my opinion.
