yeah. would have been easier had oscar just fought how he normally fights.

vargas moments came when oscar was on the ropes doing that dumb shoulder roll.

i'm sorry , i know it works for the mayweathers and others but it's not for everyone.

Walt Liquor, you know nothing about boxing when you say Roach trained Afolabi from ground up. I personally know Afolabi and Roach didn't even train him for this past fight. Get your knowledge straight. Roach is a joke of a trainer.

Man.. i don't see verbal warring here, except that it was just Maywather Sr firing salvos to Roach! I think he's bitter and envious to Roach! Mayweather should STFU once his prize fighter lost on May 2 or join with his son retiring! That's the best thing for him to do.

Did he "develop" James Toney? Is Olafabi really a "champion"? Really?
who did Dundee, Duva, Clancey, McGirt, Panams Lewis, Nacho Beristein, Kevin Rooney, Teddy Atlas or a host of others develope?

As the old adage goes, "its not where you're going, itys where you've been". Roach is good enough that he has been there and top flight fighters seek his guidence. Ifr this wasn't the case............. And before you say fighters seek out Mayweather too, compared to Roach, his resume is peanuts. Just sayin.

floyd sr. trained oscar delahoya , joan guzman and chad dawson.

                who else?

                did he improve oscar?

what did he do for guzman and dawson?

what percentage of those guys fights were he the trainer?

                who else has floyd trained?

roach has trained some top guys. i'm sorry but floyd sr.'s training resume is not on roach's level.

he's not the greatest trainer in the world but roach knows his stuff. he learned from eddie futch for god's sake.

That wasn't me you asked that question to. I didn't say that Roach is better at developing fighters from the ground up. That was someone else. You questioned his HOF credentials. Olafabi is considered a champion because he holds a championship belt from one of the major organizations (WBO Cruiserweight). Plus you said Roger was probly better than Freddie. Maybe for one fighter but certainly not as a training body of work.

Plus I named one, even though that was a discussion between you and someone else.
