haye didn't have the ibf.

kostya didn't have the wbo.

winky didn't have the wbo.

judah also didn't have the wbo.

calzaghe had all 4 but not all at the same time. think of it , i don't even think lennox had the wbo either. at the time he had all his belts , vitali and before him herbie was wbo champ.

i guess you can make a case for kostya , winky , judah and lennox because they had the ring/lineal title and the 3 majors wbc , wba and ibf.

it's all depends on when/if you consider the wbo a major belt. for the longest time the wbo was a meaningless belt used by european promoters for the most part for their fighters.

hell you can make a case for hamed being undisputed because he beat all the major title holders in his time frame. only strippings and org politics prevented him from being champ of all 4 belts at the same time.

I believe today that as long as they have the two main belts along with one of the other major belts and the lineal title, they are undisputed. Or if the other belt is vacant or won in a vacant title fight, the main guy is undisputed. That's from memory though so not too sure.

Tszyu was the undisputed champion though and the only guy to do it at 140 since Pryor.

A the WBO gets more and more recognition eventually they will have to hold each and every major title to be undisputed champion. We will rarely ever see another true undisputed champion though I think. Too much crap and bureaucratic bollocks going down.

I think most recently because of the burgeoning importance if the WBO and with the long time reign of great fighters that held it like Calzaghe, Hopkins etc, in the last couple of years they are adding it as one of the undisputed title needed to have that designation.

First off MAB and Morales arent ATG's.

Larios isnt going to the hall.

Pac has fought 5 hall of famers.....MAB, Erik, JMM, Oscar, and Hatton.

Floyd has fought 5 H.O.F............Oscar, Hatton, Castillo, Corralles, Hernandez.

to me undisputed is all the majors (wbc , wba and ibf a few years back and all 3 plus the wbo now AND the ring/lineal) hard. too hard to do.

funny how hopkins was the only one to do it when he's not really a big draw. he has tito (don's middleweight tourney) and oscar (oscar's "WIN" over sturm for the wbo) to thank for that.
