The fact is that if you are knocked down three times in the first round and still manage to get a draw, that does prove that you were at least 2 points better over rounds 2-12.
In addition, many boxing experts thought Marquez should have got the decision. You're entitled to disagree with them, but to resort to ridicule is just childish.

And of course he said he was ready, before the fight - what did you expect him to say?
And don't forget that Valero said DLH's preparations were all wrong and that he would lose to Pac, based on his sparring sessions with him.
That's not an excuse for DLH. If he signed a contract to fight at a weight class he could no longer make without being weight drained, he has no one to blame but himself. If he screwed up his preparations despite having access to the best handlers in the world, he has no one to blame but himself. But the fact is that the version of DLH who fought Pac had deteriorated considerably compared to the version who fought Forbes - and even that version was a considerable decline over the version who fought Mayweather. You only need to have eyes to see that.

Hatton was in serious trouble in the 10th against Lazcano, and if it hadn't been for his shoe lace coming undone at a critical moment, and the referee giving him a 50 second break while his laces were tied back up, you can't be certain that he wouldn't have been stopped.
Having said that, he was wild against Lazcano, and hung his chin out to dry, which is why he sacked his trainer immediately after that fight and hired Floyd Snr. He won't be wild against Pacquiao.

Its gonna be a great fight!! I got Hatton by KO. I he doesnt get the KO hes not beating Pacquaio. IMO Hatton cant outbox Pacquaio for 12 rounds. But he has power so he can KO Pacquaio, cant wait to see this!!

The judges official scorecards are still their subjective opinions. Are you saying that there has never been a robbery in the history of boxing? People have a right to their opinion that the judges got it wrong, and if their opinion is shared by many boxing experts then while you have every right to disagree with them, based on your analysis of the fight, to ridicule them for expressing an opinion that many experts share just makes you look ridiculous, IMO. Personally, I thought a draw was a fair result, BTW. I just don't think you can say that anyone who thinks the judges got it wrong is being ridiculous.
so its a robbery then? what is it?.Last edited by JAS_JAS; 03-29-2009, 08:17 PM.
