And believe it or not VB 2's gameplay is cleaner. The japanese versions gameplay felt a little off, not much, but not as good as Fighting Spirit. Plus the computer is frustratingly hard.
Hmm, good to know. Saves me the downloading I was going to do.

By the way, if any of you guys have a beast of a computer but no ps2, you can play Victorious Boxers using the PCSX2 emulator (www.pcsx2.net). But you really need a top of the line processor, preferably Intel's high end dual cores. You can use a quad core too, but it better be a very recent and powerful one if you want to play at or near full speed (as the emulator was designed for dual core, and doesn't use 4 cores very effectively). You'll also need a fairly recent video card and at minimum 1+ gig of ram for XP and 2+ for vista.

I've got some links for the game, the ps2 bios too....pm me if you want these.

Amen, the Tyson in the game was also a worthy challenge. Sega getting Douglas's name to annoy Nintendo was funny back then.

Its a shame that they screwed the latest installment, hopefully Punch-Out will be good. How come there aren't any Fight Night type boxing games in the Wii?

I don't know its a bit ****** when you think about it, as the wii is perfectly suited to games like this.

I haven't played either of them for a while, but from what I remember I preferred VB1.

I think that Fight Night Round 3 is probably the best one that I've played, however the game Victory Boxing: Championship Edition on PS1 is the one that I spent the most time on. It came out in 1996 and I still play it now.
