Nowadays its the Fight Night games but back in the day I LOVED Evander Holyfields Real Deal Boxing!!!
Remember the cheat to go that green guy The Beast!? lol
P.S how Ironic is it that when ur stats started slipping EVEN tho u were undefeated and still champion Holyfield would tell u ud had a good career but it was time to hang em up!? lol Evander needs to be doing that **** like 5 years ago!
Ring King, and man am i glad to see that i'm not the only one, that game is so old school, it totally exposes me as an old timer, hahaha. awesome stuff.
Mine is easily Victorious Boxers 2 Fighting Spirit (ps2). The best balanced, realistic and deep boxing game ever made. And this was without a "create a boxer" feature. It wouldve been nice, but it didnt need it.
I'm told that one of the Japanese editions of VB had a full career mode that was apparently pretty elaborate. I think it was called "victorious road" or something. Might want to track that one down.
But yeah, no other boxing game holds a candle to the VB series.

I forgot about that game, but it was awesome. I liked how Jack Dempsey would taunt "paaansy" "mommmas boy" LOL...and I liked the cumulative visible damage that the fighters incurred from taking too many blows. Now that I think of it I used to spend hours playing that game, it really was a great game.

I did and it seemed like a good game but since I cant read japanese I got lost and got frustrated with it. Its so deep that if you cant read japanese its hard to really customize things properly.
And believe it or not VB 2's gameplay is cleaner. The japanese versions gameplay felt a little off, not much, but not as good as Fighting Spirit. Plus the computer is frustratingly hard.
