    The **** is laughable.
the problem is that boxing fans universally question his "greatness", not only cotto fans, mexicans, philipinos or whatever fans. EVERYONE does

And you say "Miguel Cotto fans" we aren't fan boys like you who don't watch the sport and only watch a specific fighter therefor whe can commentate on any fighter or division out there.. sorry.

I'd rather have a fighter fight the best in one division then keep moving up and up fighting mediocre fighters.
Im using this post as a prime reason as to why if you have followed boxing only the last few years, its easy to come to this conclusion. Had you been following the sport around 98-2001, mayweather was being seen as being brought along too fast and that they might be on the fast track to ruining him because of the way their matchmaking often put him against very experienced vets who actually stood a chance against him. Im not going to write a long essay about it, but the only time i can say floyd likely played it safe was welterweight. 140 was a mess that never got resolved for anyone, mostly because ricky hatton didint want to take on any of the top fighters in the division after tszyu, cotto was viewed as being too green and mayweather was stuck between waiting on these guys to take him on or move up and take on judah who was running his mouth like crazy.

I can honestly say the revisionist history on here is almost grating to the brain because mayweather was seen as taking a huge risk against corralles and then taking another against castillo who was much bigger than him and mayweather immediately elected to take on the 135lb champ with no prior tuneup. Even when people felt the fight was contraversial, he still rematched him to prove everyone he was legit.

I can seriously say the bias you have displayed for years and your unilateral support of anything opposite mayweather is almost strange, since all the evidence in the world suggests that mayweathers additude towards the top fighters only waned in his later years at welter, even then there are alot of reasons as to why that happened for him.

Miguel Cotto is very young and still has a ways to go for me to really make a judgement on him when it comes to his longevity in the sport. Hes an outstanding fighter, but right now, his legacy doesnt touch mayweathers with the exception of his superior legacy at welterweight. The difference is that Cotto doesnt let you know how great he is and mayweather does, the difference in additude is clearly what allows you to cloud your judgement and lead you on this path of bull**** thread after thread.

There are times when you aim to piss off the feverish mayweather supporters, which is ok to an extent, but after awhile it sounds like you believe sincerely, that mayweather has never taken a risk.
