wow, with all that boxing knowledge and opinions, you should be a trainer!

I have alot of knowledge because I look around at everything to gather it. even if it comes from martial arts or sword fighting(particularly fencing). Being a trainer is hard as balls though. I couldn't do it because I know how to throw a right straight but if I was to try and teach someone who knew nothing of boxing how to do it. I dont think I could explain it where they would understand it. So its not just knowing but its being able to explain and teach it. Something I cant do. Hence I wouldn't make a good trainer. Unless it was conditioning coach. I can do that.

I never said Cotto was dumb either. It would be contradicting to me stating that he is pretty smart in another thread to say he was dumb in this one. I said he isn't that smart. If he was smart, he wouldn't waste all of his stamina trying to KO someone early and then later in the rounds be drained. If he was smart he would use movement instead of just taking Margarito's punches to the dome. He isnt that smart. He's not dumb but he isn't on Floyd's level of smarts.

in an interview he did here in PR days after losing, he said that for some reason, he started feeling strange in round 5-6. not worn out or fatigued but that for some reason, his legs weren't working as expected.

he's dumb in a lot of things (i see that guy drinking and flirting all Wednesdays in a pub here in san juan), but in the ring, he adapts pretty well, and that "legs weren't working, but i was fatigued" was really, really weird.

i would count on margo having loaded gloves that night. but even if he did, cotto did fight the wrong fight... he looked like a giant ivan calderon in there. if he changed that strategy to mosley's, williams's or santos's one, i'd bet with you on all those theoretical 1000 fights that cotto would win most of them lol

Well, when your getting beat in the head with flush shots that will make your legs unresponsive. If he would have said something like "His fists felt really hard. Like getting hit with something blunt." that would be more credible. Like Margarito's sparring partner said that it felt like getting hit with something really hard like a rock.

If Cotto would have fought him like he did with Mosley. Then I wouldnt be making Margarito's case. But seeing how Margarito so successfully beat down a beast of a man in Cotto. I believe Cotto has problems with guys who have good chins, long arms, and swarms with a billion punches.

Im not ruling out that Margartio could have used plaster against Cotto. Its just that there is no evidence that he ever did. So, saying he should be banned for life really urks me.

I agree, with the right gameplan, Cotto would be the big favourite in any rematch.

He should be banned for life because he conspired to commit aggravated assault against Mosley. Nothing to with the Cotto fight.
